Hi I host two cracked tf2 servers and the server has been hacked today. Here is a convo with the guy who fucked it up
Any way to patch this?
Mr. Clean: I have a piece of information for you

Mr. Clean: I deleted everything related to your tf2 server
Mr. Clean: I left it as that as a warning
Mr. Clean: if you start up another pirate server I will hose the operating system

Any suggestions?

We use VUP, and the server is running linux if that helps any.

Yeah, VUP + dont run server as a Root or administrator! never!
btw post here his steamID (profile)
there is login logs on server? looks on all logs on server (chat, most likely he connect to server and say someting like "fuck of piracy"
btw: i hate this fck!ng idiots what crying about few nonsteam servers, but there are bigger problems like a loooot of cheaters on steam servers.

Well, the problem is, by the time I noticed he was doing it, he was already in the process of deleting the stuff. (Logs too) He also has console access, if that has anything to do with it.
