I. Client-side1. Counter-Strike 1.6 SW Non-Steam V40 Cumulative PatchInfo:
This is the newest patch for Counter-Strike SteamWorks Non-Steam V40 Protocol 48 patch update, and it can be installed from V35 to V39. It uses RevEmu 9.78RC1, and it has a working serverbrowser which is built in RevEmu. Internet and Lan are working, only favorites doesn't reads saved IPs. You have to update Masterserver.vdf manually, as Setti changed their server for their masterserver.

This is the newest standalone for Counter-Strike 1.6 Non-Steam V40 Protocol 48. It uses RevEmu 9.78RC2, and it has a working serverbrowser which is built in RevEmu. This Zbot pack is the latest Zbot for the latest Counter-Strike 1.6, version 40. It works for all version of Counter-Strike 1.6: Steam, Standalone (NoSteam), but only with the latest one. This pack includes the followings:
- No more Spetsnaz/Militia models
- No more "No Model -1" when firing M3/scout/AWP
- No more "Condition Zero" instead of "Counter-Strike" in servers/window title
- No more "Counter-Strike: Counter-Strike" instead of "Counter-Strike"
- No more de_nuke navigation and silly messages in console
- No more "Enable Tutor" in multiplayer menu (CS has no tutor after all, it won't work anyway)

4. Cracked SteamInfo:
To play Counter-Strike 1.6 on cracked Steam, you need to download the followings: a Steam crack, half-life engine.gcf and condition zero models.gcf. The GCF files are necesarry to download if you want to download Counter-Strike 1.6 from Steam. Download those two GCF files, and place them into Steamapps folder in your Steam folder and replace them if there's another one. After that is done, and the crack is applied to Steam, login with your empty account (if you don't have any, follow the tutorial posted above), and you can start downloading Counter-Strike over Steam.

Now as VUP is not supported anymore, there is another new crack for dedicated servers which counts the players, even the cracked ones, so you don't have to use protocol 47 or dproto (dual protocols 47/48) anymore, and they are not recommended. REVOLUTiON Emulator is now the future of dedicated servers, but please note that, DON'T RUN HLDS WITH REVEMU AND LEGIT STEAM AT THE SAME TIME!

Anyways, who wants to try this new beta, here's the link: -OLD LINK REMOVED-For a reminder: this beta needs the official counter-strike.gcf aswell, because it depends on it, so this won't change the real one..  And btw, does any one knows if this is working on an emulator/launcher?

i will test it, but most likely it can works with revEMu, but for no-steam players is very bad
- revEmu does not suppot avatars, ping square are showed
- you must change your name in rev.ini file...
exist any cracked server with this?

I could host a cracked dedicated server, but what crack can I use for this beta dedicated server? Because it has it's own one...

eSTEAMATiON won't work, since there's a special swds.dll.
I'd try for Linux rev's hlds emulator. For Windows, revEmu should work, but didn't try it.

UCL dont detect it as a game.
When i tryed use revEmu only it show "Failed to initialize authentication interface. Exiting..."
but maybe i did something wrong..
Btw game protocol was updated too...

I have this "Failed to initialize authentication interface. Exiting..." problem too...
I used GCFPrep and updated the CDR, and selected RevEmu (without steam client) but still not works)...

run it with -steam parameter + original steam.dll "Failed to initialize authentication interface. Exiting..." error will be fixed, but it need steam running

there is no cracked server for the moment.
You can just create one with "new game" and "sv_lan 0" maybe
