put all the files from the client dll bin.rar files into common/left4dead2/left4dead2/bin folder

use revloader to launch the game

make windows date 29.11.2009

no DEMO dll

u can play
with all modes
all melee attacks
a working menu
no crashes

I wouldnt hold my breath for anything near good playing expirience untill its cracked properly.

@dack23, I can use your crack without changing my date, I also used your registry fix to be able to get into the menu.

Used it on a patched razor version, 2.0.0.0

If possible add your registry fixes to the crack file as well ? that would make a nice package to get it to work.

I've been trying to work out the instant crash with no error problem and it's definitely a registry problem.

On 3 installs i've forced my own regkeys and monitored with procmon to see what it's trying to call. It trys to call initially the CLSID of the steam service. If it doesn't exist it kills all threads and quits silently. Throughout the game at random points it calls another CLSID that corresponds to the steam service.

If you fake them it works fine.

The one thing I can't work out is where it's getting the GUID for the steam service it's looking for.

darck23 GJ MAN, i used your crack on TPG gay release and the menu works perfect. I will post some results about ingame later

Yeah! I think this is it guys, add the registry files to it and you have a nice crack package with an outstanding rate of success.

This also seems to work with the stryder cracked files, stryder.dll and left4dead2.exe, it loads fast to the menu, revloader takes some time to do it.

Thanks for your crack. I needed to apply the registry fix for it to work, no need for the date fix. Problem is, the game crashes like 3 minutes into the game, usually when a special infected shows up (like a jockey jumps on you). I've already seen a boomer that didn't crash the game tough, so it's not always. Any fix? If not, could you tell me where you got whatever files you're using right now? Thanks

I can confirm the random crashing

Will try to change date now then as suggested.

As strange as it may seem, no crash yet, so date change really does seem to help.

It crashes and says please update your emulator.
