Sorry but i really don't understand what i have to do with cf toolbox... I got steam installed and i have de razor release of dawn of war 2 chaos rising:standalone. Do i need to install the razor release in the steamapps folder first?

You need to put the Razor release in Steamapps\Common\
and the NCFs need to be in Steamapps\

OK, change the name of the Dawn of War II folder name to:
Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II

The use CF Toolbox on the game files and updates.

Steam is required to run this after you update using CF Toolbox. But it will be the latest version.

Well, i first tried hegyaks method of changing the folder names, from dawn of war 2 to Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II

but this didnt work for me, so i just put the non updated version of chaos rising in to the dawn of war 2 folder. it looked like this:

X:\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2

in that folder i had the full un updated version of chaos rising, and i ran through cftoolbox (1.0.10 from steamcooker), validating, correcting then updating the files using the ncf's and gcf's linked by hegyak

after that, i cracked CR with the crack from gamefix

now it works and is fully updated

Um, any chance that someone could supply the files needed to update CR from 2.1 to 2.2? The way you guys have done in this thread seem to imply that steam is involved somehow in the updating process, and as I don't use steam for it I need the updated files to paste right into the gamefolder (like you've been able to with other updates in the past). Any ideas?

I have Dawn Of War 2 Version 1.9 (the original one, not chaos rising).

I'd like to update it to v2.2 but nothing works. Here's how I try it:

-I put it in the Steam/steamapps/common/dawn of war 2/ folder
-I put both of the small NCF files for DOW2 posted here in the steamapps folder
-start steam with steamup
-it will show download starting but nothing ever happens

same with toolbox:

-it shows 83% and when I choose 'resume download' an download error will be shown (even after validating and fixing).

I would also completely re-download (by deleting the NCF files and using steamup) but then the 'server busy' error appears.



Can someone tell me a foolproof way how to update DOW2 to v2.2? Maybe using another tool?

You need a patch/fix for the older version. Send me a .archive file and I will try and get you those missing files. The Chaos Rising patch changed a lot of stuff.

THX, that will update the game whenever a new patch comes out from steam for WH2 CR. Thank you very much for ur files

Can someone please upload the files that changed form 2.1 to 2.2 along with crack somewhere?
Like, we cant expect everyone who is playing um... alternative version of dow2 cr online to do it himself, and majority will stay on 2.1 patch... ^^
I'll try to do it myself sometimes later, but my upload speed is 56 kb/s, so that might be a bad idea...
