Hello to everyone

I've tried to patch chaos rising without help, but maybe I'm too noob ... so...

This is what i've done until now:

download all the hegyak posted file
download cftoolbox
put the dawn of war 2 + chaos rising( from razor) in the steamapps\common folder
rename the folder "dawn of war 2" (with warhammer 40,000 ... it doesn't work at all)
Open cftoolbox
in complete tab, there is:
100% in choas rising ctf file (file is valid)
99,..% in the other two (file is invalid)

Patched all file with gcf file, the situation didn't change

try to resume download, but I recive a download error

what can I do now?

I've done all from the beginning, when the cftoolbox said me that dawn of war common file.ncf and dawn of war 2 english.ncf were invalid, I've open steam

Steam update the game, I don't know whit what, and now I'm stuck

now cftoolbox tell me that all the file are valid,but, if I launch the game with steam, the game start but whitout chaos rising (I can play only dawn of war 2)...If I use the fix, the game still use steam to start, but after few second it close

now...wtf I must do ?

It doesn't work
Renaming didn't work even when i put it in the steamapp folder and downloaded the files here.
CF toolbox gives error when validating or correcting.
Now even the razoor1911 exe doesnt work and i cant launch the game anymore.
GCF/NCF: All 3 files failed
Games/media Tools Completion: 0 %
Now I have to re download the torrent again...

Is it possible to post non-steam patches for this game? Some of us don't know how to do this, and I would really like to have my game (non-steam) patched completely if possible.

Apologize for bumping an older topic (well, not that old I guess), but I can't seem to get my "dawn of war 2 common files.ncf" past 99.x%. I have used the .ncfs you linked along with the latest .gfcs from your last link, have tried multiple installs, and several different versions of the ncfs. Even had a friend send me the latest .ncfs from his client which are the same as the ones you linked anyway. Furthest I've been able to get it is 99.98%. Any idea why I can't get it to validate 100%?

Im kinda pc geek and normally have no trubles with anything ( linux windows etc) but im simply unalbe to patch this freeking game.
i do have RAZOR version of game , its DOW2 + CR version 2.1
First problem is fact that im unable to install game by instalator becouse it ask for cdkey for steam and i dont have it for obvious reazons, i used cracked steam to try install it but instalation crash with server bussy crap, whatever. Now setup tells me that i got already installed this game and dont alow me to try install it again. or uninstall i have no idea how the hell game knows i got it installed , i checked registry and cannot find anything related to it. So "clean" install is imposible, so i used included by razor installer who totaly bypass steam etc. Its works fine of course game works fine. but is 2.1 and in 2.2 and 2.2.3 are greate balance fixes . So i searhc and search and search litlle more how the hell upgrade this game, and only i found this topic.
I Downloaded all 6 files provided by HeGyAk put my installed DoW 2 in to proper folder (~/steamapps/common/.....)
i put all files i downloaded in steamaps folder and i put there also CF toolbox . i run cftoolbox i setup acount for steam acces
i make validate and numbers are hilarious becouse it shows that i got 50 something % on one of files and 90 on second and one file is around 2 gb and second around 1 gb and is bs becouse game folder is almost 7 gb. i say whatever i try to
patch game using providet files and after i did that still game shows around 98% complete . i say whafuever i try to run true providet in one of topics on this forum dow2 loaders .. game crashing even before starting. i try run by cracked steam game shows 98% on both Dow2 and dow 2 cr and is unable to download .. i ask WTF is there a way to patch this game or what ? what is a purpouse of making so called cracked steam if ur unable to use it to install game u already have on dvd ? seriously wtf . Is there a working way to patch this game and than run it or not ? becouse if its imposible i just go play beta sc and give a fu aboute this steam gfw crap . this whole steam gfw is main reazon why i buy only blizzard and bethesda games and joowood . thanx

Needet :
DoW2 CR Razor1911 edition

(warhammer 40,000 dawn of war ii english.ncf - v40 to v42 and dawn of war 2 common files.ncf - v76 to v90 ONLY)
SmartSteam

Next install game using razor installer to your steamgames common folder ( dont change ame folder name or razor installer dont works)
Change folder name to "Dawn Of War 2" without quotas
Download & install CF Toolbox
Put NCF and GFC files in to your steamaps folder
run CFToolbox
Open EACH and EVERY of HEGYAK'S (important ONLY HEGYAK"S GFC"S SERIOUSLY)!!! GFC files and manually extract every of BOLDET/black files to LOCATION WHERE THEY SHOULD BE !!! ( same location they are in archives but put them in to game folder) u need to do this manually becouse cftoolbox will not alow u to patch game with older than ncf gfc files.
next after u do that use CFT toolbox to patch using metatron83 gfc files. game will show 100% . dont validate becouse it will say is not correct for some reazon dont repair too . next run SmartSteam go to games run DoW it will be orange for second but will show is ok after that second. u can now validate it using in steam validator it will say is correct. u can run game without any problems .
And u can use any DoW CR mods from now on u cannot use them on razor version but they works on patched.
Best one is codex

SOrry for bumping this old thread but i have the original Dawn of War 2 downloaded on steam. Seeing as Chaos rising is included how do you actually unlock it without buying the actual game.

You would need the NCF for Chaos rising and the 2 content files.
Then you use a Steam crack. Be aware that using a Steam crack/patch on Steam on a legit account is dangerous and your account may be disabled (banned).

Hey hegyak. I did get it working before by just copying a few files from the Razor Release but it wasnt patched to 2.2 which left quite a lot of bugs in the game. Anyway Thanks for the reply.

Now that i discovered the "Apply patch" feature, here is what i got :

Why isnt it at 100%
What can i do for a 100% completion?

Gratz to Hegyak i managed to update to 90 /42 : worked perfectly

Now i just tried the 96 /46 updates from Metatron (viewtopic.php?f=22&t=46968&start=45)
Patched without any problem, both files 100%,valid and so
But since that no way to launch game : i got relic send error report directly

Anyone having same problem or clue to fix that?

Edit : dont know if it is linked but i reinstalled Razor client but kept previous install ncf/gcf.updates and now i got a dow2 common files 98.83%
I will ask for a fix to see what happens but i doubt it will make it

same problem here too.

Can't launch the game through cracked steam client or revloader. Previous version works fine.

You seems to have most of files to update your game
D/l Dow2 Fix files from hegyak (you ll find them page 1)
Then you ll have
dawn of war 2 - chaos rising common files.0_to_0.update.gcf
warhammer 40,000 dawn of war ii english.38_to_38.update.gcf
dawn of war 2 common files.82_to_82.update.gcf
+ files you already have

D/L CF Toolbox from this site/install it
D/L Smartsteam from this site/extract it in steam folder (in order to get /Steam/Smartsteam.exe)

Install razor game in steam/steamapps/common
EDIT FROM UPPERCUT POST : true i forgot important part : need to copy razor1911 folder content in game folder and overwrite all what can be overwrited or you wont reach 100%
When installed rename it "dawn of war 2"

Launch CFToolbox
You ll see your NCF files in CFT

From here right click on a NCF : you ll see "update"; mouse on it will show you "apply update" feature

My advice is to apply updates by oldness ,not by NCF (i mean update all your ncf with the olders updates then next updates ... is better than update 1 ncf with all its updates
So here we go
correct all your ncf (right click on ncf->correct)
apply first all gcf.updates you got in hegyak posts (0 to 0 /38 to 38/ 82 to 82)
then correct all ncf again
then apply 76 to 90 / 40 to 42 /
correct again
apply 90 to 96 /42 to 46

(I dont know if it is necessary to apply updates the way i tell you,but it allowed me to go to 100%/validated despite of 99.xx% for some files)


Important : Do what i say in viewtopic.php?f=10&t=57146

1.If all your files are 100% then validate them (right click on ncf ->validate)
Then close CFT
Use smartsteam exe to launch steam
Click on dow2 in steam,let steam install its things then you can play

2.If any of your files is not 100% cft will tell you validation error:
Correct the ncf
Make an archive of it (right click->update->make archive)
Upload it on something like megaupload
Make request for a fix here : viewtopic.php?f=22&t=57098&start=11685

In the end it should works fine =)

Last word : i am a noob =) The way i give will works,thats sure
But if any "steam underground pro" have ways to make it faster /easier or dunno what they ll tell you

(i have 99.xx% validated problem. because i didn't use it inside razor image.
guys. u have to copy razor folder all of them.
and u dont have to correct all ncf file. IMO correct course needed one executing at the first step.
and just update the others.)
