Have that problem too, crashes when trying MP. Had dow 2 chaos rising installed (dunno if razor 1911) not in steam. Updated 2.6, got rev emu crack, using green luma (i add non steam game and find dow2.exe) and then get crash at MP (have gfwl key). With rev loader have same problem or smartsteam. gonna try with razor 1911 soon (reinstall).

@Author: I use razor version
@dragon16v: U dont need make steam overlay the game or in-game game, u just need to bypass securom of Steam to get in the game.

Im sorry. I forgot some step. When u crack game by rev emulator u must make a test file name steam_appid.txt and put number 20570 to that text.


Here is GUIDE to play online LIVE:

+ First, to install the game. You must install this game into the folder * \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Dawn of War 2 game to make Steam identify game.
+ After installed the game, u begin to update to version 2.6 of the game, unzip the file update 2.6 in previous page and copy to game install folder.
+now u will crack steam and crack game. Download this http://www.mediafire.com/?6zvvuu01xk0rbk8 (i packed all of things u need to crack game in 1 file rar) unrar the file and u will see 3 files rar are: GreenLuma-1.4.2-Steam006.rar , RevEmu 9.8.3 (no-logging).rar and warhammer 40,000 dawn of war ii english.zip.
---Crack Steam: Unzip the file GreenLuma-1.4.2-Steam006.rar Steam folder.
---Crack game: excatc file RevEmu 9.8.3 (no-logging).rar and copy to game folder.(u dont need make any text file because my file had it inside the file already )
---Make Steam game to identify: Extract the files Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II english.zip and copy all of them to Steam \ steamapps, if you installed the game in another folder then move them to Steam \ steamapps \ common because this is where Steam installed game folder and rename the game Dawn of War 2

We now open Steam through Greenluma and Log-in to the Windows Marketplace (to be sure LIVE client will not disconnect when we play ) and click DOW2.exe to play .

Problem isnt loading the game/signing into live.

Its when starting a matchmaking game, joining campaign or the last stand.. game just crashses and the logs show nothing...

Ok so I got the crashing fixed... but I cant do co-op - "You must own dawn of war 2 to play this campaign"

How ? I did all steps further1991 told, still crashing.

I'm curious because the steam_api.dll included has been patched so that Dow2 doesn't try to launch steam on startup. Any idea where that file came from ?

Yeah I bundled it myself..

It came from one of the other archives, cant really remember exactly which one though since I've been playing Retri..

I followed your guide...
The game starts, but when I click on campaign the game wants that I login into GFWL.
I use an account, but it ask me a valid cd-key.... How can I login and play coop-campaign?
Someone tell that the login insn't a problem... Why?

@Neo2003 Ok Its very easy! You just continue follow this post viewtopic.php?f=10&t=57913 to get a key of game Kane and Lynch. Then U reg account LIVE games for windows at xbox.com.
Now you have account and key, just login by that account when they ask cd-key just put kane and Lynch key, you will see the magickal )

PS:You can get key Dark Masss..... to unlock option called "add friends"
the key can use for a lot of game. but almost from 2010 count back. try put it into some game like Gow, re5, Gta4, u will seee another magicka.
If the game want update it means games for windows live wants update not game.my advice is update it directly not through game, just go to Windows Marketplace and download lastest version of G4WL (its 3.5 now). if not u will see the bar in game GUIDE run very very slowly to update some shit 35mb ....

I have the Razor1911 version of the game patched up to 2.6.(+loader,+fix)
I've followed further1991's instructions and when I try to invite my friend into a coop game or last stand etc., he gets this message: "You must own Dawn of War 2 to play this co-op campaign".
Are there any solutions for this problem?
