only legit, i'm sure, cause server is streaming to evebalance and ea... servers and client still needs to be cracked so we can play on it, till than only legit... |

both the client and the server has to be cracked. the connection from the server to ea has to be cut because it's ea is checking every account which is connecting to the server. but the connection to the master server has to stay because otherwise it won't show up on the serverlist. the client cd-key and login check has to be removed to. after that it's playable for free. |

i turned off srv for now... cause its behind routers firewall, and i have to set it up and reboot router, but i've IPTV also and mine parents are watching it so i cant restart router just like that  i'll set up server tonight around 1am again. @golle88 : thats the theory yes, but... whos capable of doin that here? none... i've some exp in C but thats not enough... |

I agree with RIPAciD. You can delete the serverid.dat file, it will generate a new, unique one, but if you delete the proverid.dat file, it won't be randomly generated. I can from the server console, quite a lot of extenisve info such as: - Owner ID - The port and dns at which the server gets reported to the EA plasma backend Plus lots of other things. The only thing that boggles my mind is the fact that at one stage it says: "Warning: Only localhost will be able to connect" I have forwarded the relevant ports etc on my router's firewall, however, I just can't seem to render another message to be displayed. Perhaps if I completely disable my router's firewall, although port forwarding should be enough in my book. However, and I know the majority of you won't believe me, 2 days ago, I ran the server and someone did manage to connect to it, there was a lot of encrypted code in the console and it displayed player information etc, connection attempts etc. When I re-ran the server, my server output file got overwritten so my proof disappeared. Anyhow, hOllyYy, try running your server again later, I'll try and see if I can find it. I'll keep on hosting my side as well and see if I can pickup my own. |

@Stone: have u managed to run server as i told u to do? look at line below warning... i think its related to query port, or remote administration port. |

Screen from tester on russian bfbc2 forum:  Server has a newer version than the current client, so they can not connect - we need new patch for client. Tester from russian bfbc2 forum can see all these servers, because he has a new version of the client (he is testing a new version of the patch). |

Remote administration port is set to 48892 although you can change it to anything. On both occasions, running it via the file and from the batch file/console, it still gives me that: "Warning:only localhost will be able to connect". Although in that screenie that is posted, my server that I hosted is listed there. So it DEFINITELY works.  Therefore, this will work for the new client when the patch gets released, although, whenever the server software gets updated again in the future, unless we get a leaked copy of the files, this server version will be rendered useless. I don't know if this will be crackable or not, but its out there at least so lets see if anyone can get something going. |
