The account must have SteamGuard disabled.

some time ago, I enabled steam guard on a blanck account and made a test, i was able to login ... so it must be another problem I updated the emu with dedicated server support. BUT : I was able to test with LAN dedicated server only and it tells me "Loadout not available" when i connect to the server BUT 2 : I tried without the emu with a legit acc, there is the same problem ! is it a TF2 bug ? or is it a problem with my config ? also with a legit acc : i can start an internet dedicated server, but i'm not able to connect (steam validation rejected) ... (the ip is a lan class one ... maybe that's why ... ? )

you need to create a steam_appid.txt on \steamapps\<youridhere>\source 2007 dedicated server\tf containing tf2's appid which is 440, and legit clients hosting with -insecure mode cannot access loadouts.

afaik the dedicated server (without gc emu) with app id 310 is supposed to work and i now added support for app id 310/gamedir "tf" in the emu so i think it's not required ? it there a way to make a lan dedicated server "secured" ? cause all my attempts lead to "insecure" i had a secure server only if i make an "internet" one... could someone please beta test the latest gc emu , starting a internet dedicated server with the gc emu (it requires to copy steam.cfg in "\steamapps\<youridhere>\source 2007 dedicated server" first) and tell me if clients (with gc emu) who connect to the server have the emulated items ? (loadout available) thx

steamCookerNow I connect to steam with gcemu successfully. It also works with smartsteam: gc.ini: - clientApp=SmartSteam.dll
- loadedByClientApp=SmartSteam.dll //without this option steam crash when the game startup
launch: - steam.exe -clientapp gc.dll

Thanks for the fix steamcooker. I'm gonna try dedicated server after I finish some stuff to do. What about cross emu-real gc interaction.I mean you should be able to trade stuff like this: -Legit account with emu makes the dedi with item drop interval x -Legit account without emu joins the dedi -Legit account without emu gets some items in intervals of x -Legit account with emu trades with legit account without emu item -The trade is successful -The item on the legit account without emu is permanent
If this is really a emu,and it actually is one very good then it should be recognized as the steam gc so it should be someway united with it.Like let's say 2 people who have their own money but they share an amount with each-other so some money is for both not just for one.
Thanks steamcooker!

steamCookerAfter I using gcemu, I got this error when I lauch steam withot gcemu. I fixed this error by deleting the file steam.cfg. -- Edit -- Quote: It requires that all players start steam with the gc.dll and that they all connect to the same GameCoordinator server. I'm sorry, but I don't understand, how to use items on the game server. On the server must be only the players with this program? That is, if at least one player of this program will not, then things will not work for all players? But it is very inconvenient. -- Edit -- steamCooker wrote: I don't think so but you should ask to the revCrew. Maybe they can interface their emulator with the GC server emulator. i can give them info about the protocol, but it may require a lot of work ... bir3yk said that soon the RevEmu will work switching items during the game. But it will only emulate coordinator for revemu clients.

Hey, steamCooker, does this tool allow you to play TF2 with the infamous "new weapons"? Thanks for the emulator.

Anti-Steam : it loads without crashing, but you will not be able to play with your items i think. yes, you must delete steam.cfg to solve this problem. also since now, the emu will also create a steam.cfg in srcds.exe folder => it should be deleted also. Spectrum : i am not online all the time so i can't reply all the time you can't trade between legit and emu because both are totaly disconnected. legit items are "existing" in the legit database, and emulated items are "existing" in the emu database, the there is no possibility to put emulated items in the legit database. but it's possible to put legit items in the emu database... peshkohacka : i'll check that b00t : I guess it does -- Edit -- edit : to all of you who recorded protocol messages for me, thank you again. peshkohacka needs help from you so he could maybe record some new messages, so i can implement missing features. could you please pm him ? thank you !

well if the drop time is set on the emulated server shouldn't this suppose to affect the legit too? it's logic.items drop for both or at least it should since the server shouldn't be usable by just the emu person
