Any chance to download the necessary files on Gameservers.com to get a dedicated server? |

Waats wrote: Any chance to download the necessary files on Gameservers.com to get a dedicated server? that doesnt change the system of having to sync online to even play the game. so it would still require tons of work. combat training on the other hand is all offline except for the quick check that you own the game. if that could be bypassed(and it was with mw2 with ease with zero gear and then later with a crack), then we can at least have bots while everyone else tries to reverse engineer the game. |

This must show how much I DON'T know about this kind of stuff, but: I tried to play Zombies solo before I downloaded the Skidrow EXE that was posted earlier. The message that popped up was the SAME message that pops up when I open Multiplayer (the thing about server not being available at this time). That means it was being TOLD to look for an internet connection, yes? But since their crack works, doesn't that mean they managed to bypass that pesky PC Network check? If so, can't it be done for Multiplayer as well, so that we can at least get to the menu to start Combat Training? *confused* |

My uncle just got Black Ops and played the Combat Training. There were names from his Steam friends list ingame for some of the bots, but for the others their names were Unknown Soldier 1, etc. So if the checks for connecting were removed and you were able to start the Combat Training without Steam/server connection, the bots would more then likely be named like I have stated above. |

That's what I was thinking. It surely has a way of completing the bots with names if you do not have enough friends. If you have no friends whatsoever it would still use random names. Si I am guessing there should be a way to tell the game "Hey, im unpopular I have no friends now lemme play" |
