Yep... I tried running the infestation mode (MP) and the game crashes to windows. I guess we have to wait some more. I'm curious about the weapons used in mp....

Total destruction!

Starting SP hangs at loading screen for me (bar fills and refills but never starts) ,damn im out of options ,dont know what to do

Are yoiu running the EXE files or the Launcher? Run the Launcher only. its the way it runs for me.

Launcher of course ,running the .exe crashes from the start


BTW WHILE INSTALLING DID PHOENIX HAPPEN TO ASK FOR "RED FACTION -ARMAGEDON_DISK2_0.SID" COZ IT HAPPENED WITH ME and there is nowhere to be found in inside .iso file

Heyo,

any chance of getting RFA Multiplayer working, even if only LAN? (Maybe with Green Luma or even completly without steam)
That would be nice, would like to try out the multiplayer before buying the game.

We need the original executables,find someone who bought the game from us, or wait for EU release.

Original Executables? Hmm...okay, then I might be able to supply those in a day or 2, because I will buy RFA when I get my paycheck.
RFA is not released in Europe right now? Shouldn't be a problem. Then I order it from a trusted online key store, where I get US or UK Region Keys (depends on it).

And if Steam won't let me download the game, then I might try to bypass the system using a Canadian or US Proxy, done.

replace the steamclient.dll in your redfaction dir with the one from your steam directory and also put tier0_s.dll, tier0_s64.dll, vstdlib_s.dll and vstdlib_s64.dll into your redfaction dir. then create a steam_appid.txt and write 18800 into it. start the game with a cracked steam running in the background

Download RFA_ARMAGEDDON_DX9_DX11_MP_ENABLED.rar

Extract the archive in your RFA installation directory
Open SmartSteam and minimize it
Start the game from rf4_launcher.exe

Hm...I removed the crack files from ALI213 (with them it only crashed at startup) and without those files it wont start at all.

Okay, it works now, after cleaning all crack files, applying the latest crack from ALI213, then the MP crack.

Of course , by applying the mp crack you are changing the appid.

You can find the save files from ali213 in 'C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\ALI213', this is the dir in windows 7.

You cannot load your saved games with the new crack method. If you want to load those saved games switch back to ali213 crack.

Then I loaded up MiSteam, minized it, loaded RFA in DX9 mode (DX10/11 loves to crash for me, either because it is nativly unstable, crack is unstable or it dislikes the fact of me having modified nVidia TESLA drivers) and I had all my progress back.

Yes , i managed to load my old savegame but there is a problem with the crack, you can't start a new game, with the mp crack you can play only multiplayer. Some known problems, the mp stats are not saved if you quit SmartSteam.

I copied only the files from Storage folder, without the files from SAVES folder and i could load my saved game..

Hmm okay...havent noticed that so far....crack needs improvements then.
