Any word on crashes?
After about 5-10 minutes of gameplay, it just goes to a black screen and audio keeps playing and as soon as I hit alt-tab it crashes, OR it just crashes instantly.
I tried setting the game to run in dx9 mode only, I tried Windows xp SP 3 compatibility, nothing helped at all.
I had nvidia drivers 275.33 and I tried upgrading to the beta drivers 275.50 and restarted my comp, then the game would crash in about 10 seconds.
Now I went back to 275.33... and it's still crashing within 10 seconds.

I just reinstalled with a new skidrow version on demonoid (was using the "extract and play version" released on demonoid earlier), restarted the whole game from chapter 1, it seemed like it lasted a bit longer, but it still crashed.
Any ideas at all?

EDIT: I have a GTX 570 with i5 2500k OCd to 4.5ghz with 8gb of ram.

Is your GTX 570 overclocked as well ?

Do you get these type of problems with other games too, or is it just with FEAR 3 ?

Is your GTX 570 overclocked as well ?

Nope it's not. I have been playing tons of games including Witcher 2, APB reloaded, Dirt 3... but I found out what was wrong.
The game doesn't go into DX9 mode like other games where you just put a -dx9 in the launch parameters, you need to do -d3d9. >_>
Sorry about that really dumb mistake... I hope this helps some other people with this error!

Thank you for this tip. I am having the exact same problem and I have a GTX580> All other games run perfect for me , but FE3R keeps crashing like you said.

Using the files from the first post I run into some issues. I played through the whole game with no issues using the original skidrow crack, uninstalled, reinstalled and applied the files from the post.

On the second level there is a door that does not open that needs to, immediately after you get a sniper rifle. It opens fine in SP, but not in MP.

This door does not open in SP or MP on level 3:

Tried to play this with a friend, we followed the guide word for word and can find each other ingame but always disconnect during loading.

Any idea what to do?

Turns out its actually the 2 knife throwers that are supposed to drop down in front of the door that won't spawn, I'll try replaying the level from the start, but its my least favorite one in the game.

Edit: Replayed the level from scratch and went slow this time, worked fine, guess if you bum rush a level sometimes you fail to trigger scripts.

Never crashes on my rig, so it must be a certain hardware/driver specific problem...

sombody got stucked at door where are alot of monitors, frist u fight some zombies, then it's explosion and there are doors which are locked, i cant get pass that ?, it's on level 3
