Hi there, i searched for a thread but i didnt found one, so here i go..

a friend and me wanna play DoW2 Chaos Rising Coop Campaign...
but how to?
I read all the time it has been cracked with LAN only, so i thought that would affect the coop campaign aswell...

I tried Smartsteam, teknogods, "loader.exe" (postet here in this forum somewhere) - nothing.. of course it fails at the point i have to login into GfWLive

So is there even a way to play Chaos Rising in Coop?

get Kane&Lynch Windows for live key, use it for chaos rising and you will be able to play online with normal players. no crack needed.

Ok, that worked so far - thanks for that.
The problem i have now is.... i have to update Games for Windlows live to play online, but with the newest version Chaos Rising wont start...

"Failed to create dump file : " (error 183)" - but i think 4GB RAM (64 bit OS) and another 1gb VRAM are enough for chaos rising... it was never maxed out etc...

We were finally able to get the game running with the latest g4wLive version... but ofc, there are still problems:

If we launch the game WITH the (rev)loader, login into Live accounts (with legit Kane and lynch keys "transformed" into DoW2 keys), there are 2 possible situations:
1. some1 invites the other, and in the second of joining, the game crashes (dump file, 183...) for one of us or even both (in coop as well as private multiplayer game)
2. if we make a public multiplayer game, the other one can see the game, but not join ("you must own DoW2 [...]")

if we launch the game withOUT the loader, we always get the message "you must own DoW [...]" when we join. -> the game dont crashes

we tried literally every combination of steam, without steam, with or without hamachi, with the loader and without, teknoloader etc etc.

i found atleast 1 tutorial on this board which didnt work either...

so without the loader we cant join, but with the loader it crashes :(

are there any chances? we want to play coop so badly :(
please, if you have any idea, share it with me.

Try both using SmartSteam, if you still get issue also try changing steam_appid.txt to 55130

What do you mean with "both"? ofc we didnt use real steam, but GreenLuma v2.2.3

smartsteam 1.4.1 isnt working since the 21st sept - or is it still workin with games which arent launched via steam but with their exe?

could you give me a little list and a proper order which programs?
something like

1) install game and patch to 2.6
2) install newest launcher
3) start steam

etc. you know hat i mean?

Okay! did u see my tutorial???
I played this game long time ago with that tutorial and i just reinstalled the game yesterday and... it still works :|
I use Greenluma (new version) + rev loader + the key from Kane and Lynch.
Just fresh install the game and copy crack (raozr version) - remember that your folder game MUST be dawn of war 2 and u put it in to folder steam/steamapps/common, then copy patch 2.6.
copy file ncfs to folder steamapps and crack steam by using greenluma.
Now if u dont use rev loader you will crash when someone join your game :| and of course you cant play :)
if u use rev loader u can host without any problem :D

follow that tut ive played well almost 50% game ( it seems boring with me then i quit :D)
