Hey guys i noticed a phew posts on dota 2. but there starting to get a little old. now i realise that dota 2 is in cb. and that by the time the game can be fully emulated, with a server, cracked etc. the game will probably be in open beta, But with the most recent client's, the AI system works flawlessly. ofcourse if you have access to the closed beta that is. but the client does get leaked Im wondering if anyone, has any information on a possable crack been developed to play against the AI system. all it would take is a custom launcher capable of launching the AI/map/game mechanics/resources, which are all there. instead of an actual server. honestly amazes me that it hasnt happened yet. I also understand the game updates weekly. but with the current state of the latest ai patch, and the current amount of hero's. theres more then enough to get an AI version going that people would be happy with. just to try the game out |

natsukirei First, don't try and speak L33t. It just annoys me. Secondly, I want this beta as well. But, the developer has stated that "DotA players will be getting first access then we will be opening it up after that." I don't think anyone here has the client. |

Hegyak First. i have no idea were i "tried" to speak l33t. and why you would even post that. it was just plain unnecessary Second Obviously you havn't looked hard enough because not only is the old client available through torrents http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68Sc2FrZtmg This guy consistantly upload's a new client from his steam folder when a patch is released to watch the latest hero's through replay's |

hm i do apologise if i offended anyone. i dont see the need for all the hate. and as i said. yea dota 2 will probably be out in open beta quite soon. but it would be nice if we could play a version against AI that's all i was getting at Not the best start to a new forum and community but eh |

natsukirei Consider me impressed. It's about time I find a client link. I apologize for how I acted before. I was expecting some random user saying, "I want this, but I have nothing helpful." Having a valid client link is something new for us. I realize that it's out dated again but better then nothing. Ok, The developer will make this Open Beta when all the international heroes are in the closed beta. Until then, let's see what we can do. |

no problem. i also made a video of getting the client working on linux. well not a tutorial, just a showing. but i cant show anymore vids cause i dont have gameplay footage http://www.youtube.com/user/dotatwoonlinux?feature=mhee Yeah i can understand your fear of someone with no useful info, and yea, its an old client, but until open beta, it would be amazing to even play the game at all. so what if theres a phew bugs here and there also if you want me to keep track of new client uploads. ill post them here for you, i do know a phew peeps in the beta P.S. the youtube link with the client says not working because yea, its out of date now, but was the AI release. and, when you first run it, you need to be logged in steam, no idea why, or else it wont work. and then go to offline mode and run it that way. steam did something so that it wont run without steam been "on" , offline mode or online. even with the .exe, and when u make a shortcut to the .exe ( always run it from the dota.exe, not steam links ) even with steam in offline mode. add -console to the command line for the console ( im sure u already know all this. but just thought id post it just incase because i came across these issues myself. the old client worked without steam even on, but this new one requires steam be on ) |

natsukirei The latest client I know of is the one that added: Riki That was posted today. Valve may be doing some trickery to prevent steam pirates from running the game. Why prevent us from playing a beta? If you can keep us up on the latest version, that would be something I would LOVE personally. Lets see what we can do people. |
