Nowadays, a lot of servers have motd's with video advertisements. I was just wondering who these ads are provided by and how much do they pay? Searched around but couldn't find much information on it. |

Not exactly what you're asking, but as hegyak said, the motd.txt file gets parsed as HTML, with all that implies. You can also edit it to redirect to a different page using a meta refresh tag. Video advertisements are probably displayed embedding a Flash object. But I'm not sure of how efficient using the MOTD to advertise something is, as I've never paid attention to it and I'm sure it's the same with many other people. |

hegyak & .Rar Yep I know that much. All the servers which I have seen this with have the ad autoplay. But yeah, my question was which company provides these advertisements. Or is it possible to view the source of other servers' MOTD? If you want some example servers, the Games On Net servers have these ads.
