Hey,

For a few weeks now my servers constantly crash. Probably a new exploit. I've searched for a solution, but i found nothing.

Players with random nicks (6 letters) join and the server crashes:

  1. L 02/16/2012 - 21:09:41: World triggered "Round_Start"
  2. L 02/16/2012 - 21:09:52: [DPROTO]: Client 0 - Set AuthIdType 10 [dproto]; pClient = 0xf5288f08
  3. L 02/16/2012 - 21:09:52: "H1JEKJ<1><VALVE_ID_LAN><>" connected, address "xx.xx.141.249:2269"

All nicks are similar -> 8YYT3Z; 22AOEP etc.

Server just crashesh with segmentation fault.

new jo's v2 exploit crashes linux servers too.
iptables fix it good.
  1. iptables -I INPUT -p udp -m length --length 222 -j DROP

A new update was released from Valve, update your server.
