I'm using the latest Greenluma release to load Steam and I've tried to play two HL1 mods: "Redemption" and "Afraid of Monsters". They load fine, I can save - however, whenever I try to load a saved game (when there's already a game in progress), hl freezes on the "Establishing connection to server" message. So yeah, the title is a bit misleading, since I *can* load save games... but only when I launch the game for the first time.
Any help?

it happens same on cry of fear but i don't really understand what is the problem on the saves...maybe greenluma has a problem on making save games working correctly.

As far as I know, GreenLuma was having issues with GoldSrc games.

try to play them totally offline and anti virus totally disabled.
