I have couple of public CS 1,6 servers.
I was using build 5008, but i upgraded it to 5447 with autoupdate. After that i found that this build has some kind of bug while working with Dproto. Steam users get randomly VALVE_ID_LAN or STEAM_ID_LAN so there must be a problem with steam validation. Also some NonSteam players get randomly steam ID's generated from nothing.

I want to ask what is the best solution for this situation?
What is the best build for steam/non-steam servers and how to downgrade servers?
How to secure servers against exploits?
Can someone give me download links to builds or package with good secured build?

I'm renting dedicated server with Linux OS, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8400 @ 2.66GHz.
