Hello and forgive me if my problem has been solved in another thread, I tried searching but coulnd't find any solution that I haven't tried. CF Toolbox shows all files at 100%, Steam cracked with GreenLuma won't start the game as it shows "Download paused". I get "server is too busy to handle request" if I try launching the game via the Play button. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Hmm, this is odd, you seem to have all the files necessary. Which version of GreenLuma are you using?

I tried it with some version I already had and just to be sure I redownloaded the latest from this forum. Perhaps there is some other Steam crack I can try?

This morning I finished Episode One so I was pretty desperate and removed/reinstalled Steam and both GreenLuma and SmartSteam. SmartSteam doesn't show the game in the list, GreenLuma gives the same error as my first post in this thread. At this point is there a way to extract the game and play it without Steam?

be sure you cohfigured the same language in steam and in cftoolbox.
update the CDR.
then go to the "games/media/tools" tab, and make a contextual menu on the game, open the properties, and it will tell you the required gcf for this game.
one must be missing

half-life 2 episode two english.gcf It seems you are missing this file  I might be wrong though if you're not using it in english (Don't know too much about the HL2 GCFs) .

Wow, I can't believe I was missing a GCF, I probably double checked them a couple of times... Thanks for all the help guys, I believe that once I download the missing one the game will run fine.
@steamCooker Wanted to congratulate you on your excellent work, CF Toolbox is absurd!

well fuck, italian doesn't translate well in English!
P.S. The "Update Database" needs to be updated because it doesn't mention the english/language.gcf

Yeah, it's listed as optional, but it's not our fault, it's the CDR's fault.
Anyway, can this thread be closed? Is your problem resolved?
