I tried EvolveHQ two days ago, and I must say I like it very much! Its like Xfire and Garena combined plus much more! Only downside is that there are few players playing and that its hard to join servers. Probably will be better when more people discover EvolveHQ.

EvolveHQ all the way!
The interface is very nice.
I also like the party system, so I don't have to connect to a bunch of strangers if I only want to play with a few friends. Also they have matchmaking if I do want to play with a few more people online that I do not know.
I think this way it is ideal for gaming, and it has many more features like the overlay and hour tracking.
Also the VPN is amazing. On Tunngle or Hamachi I remember always having problems and having to mess with many settings to get certain games to work. EvolveHQ Immediately connects, pings, and works with any game I have tried so far. Even with the firewall on and no ports forwarded.
Performance, looks, more features, and security? I don't see why more people don't use it.

Tunngle is more Public gaming oriented, Evolve is private oriented. I agree interface is better on Evolve, and nice Group system and other stuff. But Tunngle do the best what he does. But on the other hand why do u need Group system or Game Overlay (yea its cool, but does it really needed). And i will always give more support to public servers then private. U can do private with hamachi. Or just open ports. PS. Sorry for my bad English.

Royalgamer06 wrote: So, what must Tunngle do, to beat EvolveHQ according to u guyz? Don't think it can do much for me. I mainly use Evolve to track gametime, and from my understanding, Tunngle is mainly VPN, like Hamachi. The overall gaming features of Evolve are awesome, the Party System/VPN is just a bonus for me RezMar wrote: But on the other hand why do u need Group system or Game Overlay (yea its cool, but does it really needed).. Evolve is an overall gaming client, not just specifically for VPN The overlay is convenient for chatting to people, and even using a browser, without minimizing your game. And a good part about this feature is, if you have no intention of using it, you can turn it off

First when Royalgamer06 (thank you for telling about this!) told me about this new gaming program I thought it wesn't even woth checking out, but then there was a few games that didn't work at all with Tunngle for an unknown reason. So I installed it and was impressed with the design and stuff you could do with EvolveHQ. The only thing I don't like is that stupid matchmaking system. I think the network system is better for finding other players, but thats just me. Well again, I had some awesome games that didn't work with Tunngle (or anything else) and it occured that VPN in EvolveHQ is way better Here's a list why: - You don't have to configure anything to play games that need a special IP range. It's all on by default and dont need to choose C-Class, B-Class emulation or anything like that.
- VPN works better with games. For example Bionic Commando and Star Wars: Empire at War don't work with anything (you just cant see servers or it's buggy as hell), but these games work with EvolveHQ perfectly. For me only C&C3 Tiberium wars didn't work, but then again that game for some reason doesn't work with VPN software at all (maybe it's some kind of protection?).
- I didn't have to configure anything. All I did is installed the thing and that's it. Though for some reason EvolveHQ doesn't install or launch when Kaspersky Internet Security is launched, but I think that will be fixed in the future.
Anyway, at this point it seems EvolveHQ is only for private servers. I don't think the matchmaking system is a good way to find random people to play with, and then again, there's not much people playing. So yeah, I'll be using EvolveHQ sometimes just becuase it works for those games that wont work with anything else. I just hope the Tunngle devs get their shit together and release a final product that's easy to install and use =( Face it, the Tunngle development is way to slow and that's what sucks. But you can't blame them. As far as I know they just don't have the resources to do it faster. It would awesome if they did a KickStarter or something to get what they need to make Tunngle really good. =)

The thing is; Tunngle has only 1 coder now... But he was certain Tunngle will beat Evolve and all those features will be added to Tunngle!

Sounds similar to Evolve There are only 3 main people (1 does coding, the other works on UI, the other financial). As for Tunngle including all those features... it would be extremely impressive to see

They only have to make this thing work properly for everyone, add some cool features and that's pretty much it, they win and I will be happy about that =)

I don't use steam so i have more power to game with, i can't see Evolve being much better than Steam. Like Hidgrada says and Obesewhale stated Tunngle is already winning with its 3million plus users against Evolve's less than 500,000. EDIT Wow i just read Evolve only has 46,638 players registered

Why is the overlay so bad? In evolve you dont have to use it accually. =)
I know that GFWL can slow down the game, but does it also apply here with this overlay?

Evolve doesnt use dll injection, afaik it talks to graphic drivers on a very low level. No wrappers, injection for the sake of cheat detection. They are currently reworking the implementation because it causes still some trouble for switchable graphics and specific drivers. I dont know anything about their new approach beside the fact that it willUshould be more generic.
//edit iam using evolve exactly for its game overlay and messenger integration. i just hate it to tab out of games if i need to make a quick response on IM. Its perfect if you have a group of friends to play games they cannot play online for obvious reasons. Collecting videos/screenshots of games, VoiP and Party-VPN are just nice addons for me here. Matchmaking and finding other players is way better on tunngle but on the other hand i rarely play with strangers so evolve is my first choice

EDIT Wow i just read Evolve only has 46,638 players registered Steam and Evolve both have different purposes. Steam is a more closed-down gaming client + DRM system. Evolve is a more open gaming client. Both have various gaming-related utilities, but trying to say they both serve the same purpose isn't fair at all. I use Steam and Evolve side-by-side, because both offer different features (although, I only have Steam open currently because of it's DRM...). As for number of users, while it seems Tunngle has a huge community (are there really 3 million users constantly online daily? I mean there is over millions of Battle.net accounts for WoW, but how many of those people do you think log in daily? Not all millions...), I personally feel that quality is better then quantity. I do not know the community of Tunngle, so I can't really speak about it, but I can say that Evolve's community is pretty awesome. Plus Evolve's community grows each day. And also, comparing Tunngle and Evolve isn't exactly 100% fair either. I haven't used Tunngle for a good while now, but I believe it's only useful for it's VPN feature, only because of the vast amount of users on that service. Evolve has much more to it then just a VPN. Can probably even use both side-by-side as well even if you so please...

Yea well you would need to have Steam and Evolve open for every game you play if you don't pirate and surely having Steam, Evolve and the game your playing open will use alot of resources. Like you say its doubtable the whole tunngle userbase logs on daily but if only 1/4 of it did you would still times the amount of Evolve users by atleast 10. I mean seriously not even 50,000 users is laughable for what they are trying to acheive, how many of the 50,000 users will log onto Evolve daily?
