hi everyone, first of all, thanks royalgamer06 for your batch files and stuff, you inspired me to create this this is a nice simple standalone GreenLuma Updater with only one file instead of a bunch as i like things to be neat and simple. it also checks the original GreenLuma release forum for updates rather than RoyalGamer06's FTP server so it'll be a little more "up-to-date" than the other updater. HEY EVERYONE! my GreenLuma updater now has it's own page, check it out here GreenLuma Updater notes: * doesn't need to be run from steam directory as it checks your registry for your installation folder. (Something you can easily apply to your batch file RoyalGamer) * feel free to share but please give credit where its due as i like to leave programs free of annoying "CREATED-BY-BLAH" messages |

But how did you manage to check the original thread for updates? Also, for some reason it copies to my clipboard "UP TO DATE". And another suggestion, maybe you can add some text: "Need help? Click here" with a link to the original greenluma thread. |

Hi RoyalGamer, very strange about the text getting copied to your keyboard... it shouldn't do that, i'll have a look, and to check the GreenLuma Thread for updates my updater downloads the HTML of the forum and then sorts through it looking for particular parts that i know contain the info we need. ok just had a look, i'm not getting that clipboard problem... there is no code to even access the clipboard in the app so i dunno whats going on. after a few tests, including copying text to my clipboard, running the app and then checking the clipboard again. it has not changed clipboard data for me. it is still the text i copied before running the app. did you got the problem after a successful update or after a check that returned "UP TO DATE" -- Edit -- Here's an update for the updater, it includes the "Help" link and also i've created an INI file for the app that contains the link to the GreenLuma forum. this is to make the updater future-proof so that if like a few months back, the GreenLuma forum address changes, anyone can just update it via the ini file rather than me having to release a new update. so enjoy!. HEY EVERYONE! my GreenLuma updater now has it's own page, check it out here GreenLuma Updater also, if anyone has anymore suggestions (even for an entirely new app) let me know. BongSmoke |

Yea, 1 suggestion: could you post some info and instructions, just like the OP? I will merge the 2 apps into 1 thread, so people can choose Also, your INI includes double lines:
EDIT: You should add a custom directory path, for people having cracked steam in another folder. |

bongsmoke1989 Thanks for the tool Also fix the error that launches when .ini file is not present.

bongsmoke1989 Thanks for the update, Quote: [*]Fixed Error if trying to load without INI file in directory but this is not the way to go.That .ini file is not necessary for the tool to work/function. So i suggest you add fallback if .ini is not present.
