I use REW CREW Loader (rev ini) of +bat (srds.exe.............. ) . It would be wanted - only one "exe". It is possible please ini Launcher example - in more detail.

My launcher is only an alternative for the dota/server.bat file or shortcut with parameters to start the game/server.
In Launcher.ini is already set the parameters for the game start with RevEmu/Loader.

Default set parameters in launcher.ini:
revloader.exe -launch dota.exe -game dota -novid

That can be changed as you need, but only for one action (game or server start) and not both.

this is my first post. I´m going to have a LAN-Party with some friends this week. I have read through all five pages, but haven´t found a working solution to this. In case there is one, could someone post the steps to perform in order to get Dota 2 working for LAN?

Just follow the following steps.
(Describe how you create a listen Server and connect.)


All Players
1.Download and install Dota 2 on Steam.
2.Start the game (first start update).
3.No Internet connection -> start Steam in "Offline Mode".

Host a listen Server
1.Download the attached file and place the "listserver.cfg" in "Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\cfg" folder.
2.Start Dota 2 -> open the console by pressing "^" (over tab or left of 1) on your keyboard.
3.Take backspace then type "exec listserver.cfg" (without quotes) to start the listen server.
4.Well done. Now all players can connect via console. (Hoster is automatically connected.)

Connect to Server
1.Start Dota 2 -> open the console by pressing "^" (over tab or left of 1) on your keyboard.
2.Take backspace then type "connect LANIP" (without quotes) to connect.
3.Enjoy.


I hope I could help a little. You can of course change the values ​​in the listserver.cfg file.

I cant use that tool. when i start launching dota 2. It always "waiting for dota network". When i launch server, it say "server not responding".

Can u give me expalanation or step how to use this toolkit.

I have some questions and I hope you guys help me, there it go:

1. How can I play versus 5 ai pcs (I've done it but sometimes works and sometimes don't)
2. How can I configure my customkeys to works property with ALT key (ex ALT+Q inv1, ALT+W inv2, etc etc)
3. Can somebody tell me where to update my DotA2 client to the lastest versions (remember the I don't have access to steam)

So assuming you know what is metamod:source and d2fixups and after creating a new dota2server folder which is a copy 1:1 of your dota 2 steam folder download this packet

extract it so that you have

dota2server/steamappid.txt
dota2server/dota/cfg
dota2server/dota/addons
...

and so on

As you can see on allied forum gameinfo.txt must be modified but it is already, so you can skip that part

Now as Valve updates their game, you'll need to update your files.
steam.inf: In (dota2server\dota\steam.inf), there is a "ServerVersion" entry which must always be set to the Value in "<active_version>" of http://api.steampowered.com/IGCVersion_570/GetServerVersion/v1?format=xml. Currently (19/06/2013) this is "579".

If you want you can modify the *.bat file adding this at the end

+dota_wait_for_players_to_load 1
+dota_wait_for_players_to_load_count 10
+dota_wait_for_players_to_load_timeout 60
+dota_force_gamemode 1

1 is for all pick, 2 is for cm and so on

LAST THING: Turn steam in offline mode server/clients pc... You need a full copy of dota2 for each players which means you cant share account


EDIT1: Probably clients must be fully logged in... further tests are required
EDIT2: They must be otherwise they got kicked with No steam logon error
EDIT3: Server and Client can be the same pc but in that case you need to be logged, if server is a separate pc it can stay offline. Maybe Steam can be even closed...


Now just run the server.bat file and accept firewall rules if any
On the client side type in console (check online how to enable it):
connect "*.*.*.*" <- server ip
jointeam good (radiant) or jointeam bad (dire)

MapleLauncher is based on this so if this doesnt work that one doesnt either
