Multiplayer works fine for both me and my friend, however we CANNOT see each others games (and private invite over steam doesn't seem to work, just says failed to connect to game)

We both installed the same game, applied update1, and are using the RVTFIX
We both can host and have people join us
We both can join other peoples games
We cannot see the same games as each other in crime.net (even after leaving it for 5+ minutes)

Is there any way to connect to each other? or is purely luck of the draw
Or... is there another steam_appid that works? i've tried a few but I can't host, only the one provided seems to work

I have followed the instructions and get the " Steam must be running to play this game" with fresh steam install , anything im missing here ? thanks

I had already applied the steamworks fix , Im going to redownload all of the game and the crack and try again

Bummer....definitely not much incentive to grind since I'm 20+ level,about to reach level cap and would be a waste of time if you progress get wiped after the beta :oops: :-|

Solution:
Run the exe as administrator, else, restart steam.
And steam has to be in online mode of course.

It seems to crash whenever my friend launches the game.
He's using the "PayDay 2 PC Game Beta version ^^nosTEAM^^" + payday.2.beta.update.1.fts with the crack posted here.

Whenever he starts it it makes a minidump with the following error: [File] Cannot open "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta\assets\all275\7955" => error code 3: The system could not find the following path. (d:\projects\engine7f_related\engine7f_payday2_pc_beta\engine\dieselx\dieselx\blobs\../utility/Archive.cpp:1749)


EDIT:
Fixed it, Just needed to replace a DDL file in the directory called D3DX9_40.dll with a fallout ddl.

since that .dll(actually no .dll) was not part of the FTS update.. maybe you could notify the ^^nosTEAM^^ so they can possibly fix it..
