Guys, how do I fix the Waiting for connection on the online client? Everyone says update turn off firewall antivirus but nothing helps. What do I do?

Nevermind, it doesn't work. Why doesn't it work?

Kinda new to this, so didn't know if I should post this here or create a new thread. I guess this will get more attention:

I've downloaded that 1.24.1 repack that was mentioned a few pages back, and when the installer tries to extract Launcher.exe it says this:

"FileFailed; error code 2. File is missing from the system" or something along the lines (not on my personal laptop right now). It tries extracting Launcher.exe twice and both times it gets me this error. I can abort (abort installing), retry (I always get this error) or skip (just keeps installing). When it finishes installing without the 2 Launcher.exes, it instantly crashes when launching (I applied REVOLTs v11 RVTfix, always worked for me on 1.23.0 Payday 2).

Should note that the folder I install this 1.24.1 Payday 2 to always turns to Read-only, and unchecking it instantly reverts. Any help please? ;/

Well since there's a shit load long list what can be wrong on the way, let's try doing this on your computer first ok?
Remember to not install the game to probably dameged part of the harddrive, or at least some old windows install. xD
Or maybe that with the folder is that your not an administrator? idk (also important to install as administrator).
And turn off the antivirus software for the time of install and updating via Online Launcher (AVs mistake it for a malware - well he dose a lot ).

If you wait for connection with onlince client, cause idk what do you want actually. xD
Then you got an adapter problem probably.
I was writing about it before actually.
Try to reinstall Onlince Client as an administrator with antivirus turn off.
And on first go give him fair ~10minutes.

If still doesn't work try again on windows safety mode.
(Or just uninstall antivirus for the time of online clien install and updating if you don't know how)

Okay so I've tried everything I know of, but I still have a yellow triangle exclamation on Zero Tier One Virtual Network Port in my Device Manager. I've turned off antivirus/firewall and updated Win7 (windows update). What else can I do please?

After a restart, I now have instead, in Device Manager a yellow triangle next to something new called
WAN Miniport (IPv6)

(infact when I 1st tried to install it with the 1st run of the client, after my PC did a restart my Ethernet adapter was completely gone from device manager (-and from Network Sharing Centre) and I had no internet)

(is there a link to a manual install of Zero Tier One? (-Maybe my PC can't install it with this launcher idk)

I can't imagine why your ethernet adapter would disappear. I installed the ZeroTier One adapter (through anssik's PD2 online launcher) along with Tunngle and VMWare adapters and it never conflicted with anything...

Maybe do system restore back to a time before you installed the online launcher. Run anssik's launcher installer as administrator.

Windows firewall never had to be disabled for me, just forwarded the correct port in the router settings after the launcher was installed.

You are most likely using Avast. Trash that shit.

You know, I tried everything from every thread, and even your suggestion but it won't work. I got no anti-virus installed. Firewall disabled. Everything is off. It won't budge. Just sits there. One time it moved from Waiting for network connection, into sometrhing else but it still didn't work. Damn Windows 7.
