It shows the correct version on the launch window (Checksum 6845) but when i get ingame it shows 591b, why is that ? All files are correct, any idea what it causes that?
EDIT: It seems a mod is causing that, i have one for GFX to have better map and 1 mod for more frequent usage of unit DLC models, so the map mod is doing that, should i disable it or keep playing?

Ok I uploaded and posted two methods for updating (chose only one)... If someone still didn't updated to 1.9.0 he can use second download link method from here, it will update his game from 1.8.1 hotfix (official) to 1.9.1 hotfix. If you already have 1.9.0 update you can simple download first download link method, because it is smaller (but you can use and second if you want).First Page will be updated soon... UPDATES ONLY1.Europa Universalis IV - Update v1.9.1 hotfix - Checksum (f555) This update will update base game from 1.9.0 to 1.9.1 hotfix. 1. Copy all files from UPDATE folder in the game folder (where is the .exe file of the game) 2. And thats all!!! 2.Europa Universalis IV - Update v1.9.1 hotfix - Checksum (f555) This update will update base game from 1.8.1 hotfix to 1.9.1 hotfix. 1. First copy CLEANUP.bat in the game folder (where is the .exe file of the game) 2. Next start the CLEANUP.bat - This will remove all files that are removed in this version of game
- This procedure will finish fast
- Start again after ~5 sec just to check if the .bat delete all necessary files
- Remove CLEANUP.bat if you don't want to have it in the folder
3. Now copy all files from UPDATE folder in the game folder (where is the .exe file of the game) 4. And thats all!!! Btw here is the .sfv file to check if is your game up to date (use any .sfv program - like QuickSVF) Attachment:
File comment: .sfv for EU IV v1.9.1 hotfix
sfv for EU IV v1.9.1 hotfix.rar [209.29 KiB]

I'm hoping someone can help me.
I'm trying to get MEIOU and Taxes working. I used a script to add a DL button to the workshop and DLed the 3 required files. I created the mod folder in Documents and unzipped the first file there.
I now have multiple files in the mod folder (common, decisions, events etc). I also have a file called descriptor.mod (this is listed as a Movie Clip file type). When I try to unzip the other two parts into the same folder it asks me to overwrite the descriptor.mod file each time.
When I start the game I see MEIOU checked in both the launcher and the start page but when I actually start the game it doesn't seem to be running the mod.
So my questions are -
1- Is there a way to check if MEIOU is running ingame?
2- Is there something I have to do to convert the files I DLed to make them work with the game?
Thanks!

Thanks! I believe you're doing it wrong. 1. Download the files from the Steam workshop. 2. Place the entire archive (should be in .zip, .rar, or .7z format, I think) in the mod folder, as is. 3. Drag and drop the descriptor file into the mod folder (it will show up as a video file, yup) 4. Right-click on the descriptor file and open it with notepad. 5. There should be a line that says 'path = mod/M&T.zip' or somesuch OR 'path = mod/M&T' If the path points to an archive, retain the zip file. If it points to a folder, unzip the contents of the arhive you dowloaded to a folder of the same name (so you'd now have mod > <a folder called M&T or whatever the name>) 6. Then rename the descriptor file to the same name as that of the mod. When the game loads up, you should see a MEIOU loading screen rather than the vanilla one. That's confirmation that the mod is working. Though as far as I'm aware, M&T hasn't yet been updated to run with the latest patch. Hope that helped.

I unzipped the first file into a separate folder and opened the descriptor.mod file with Notepad ++. This is what it says - Now with that info I renamed the descriptor.mod to MEIOUandTaxes1.mod. Using the line user_dir="MEIOUandTaxes1". I copied the new .mod file into the My Documents/Paradox/EUIV mod file location and included the zipped archive. I did the same for the other two archive files that I DLed. So now I have 6 files in the mod folder - MEIOUandTaxes1.mod MEIOUandTaxes2b.mod MEIOUandTaxes4.mod mod_meiouandtaxes1.zip mod_meiouandtaxes2b.zip mod_meiouandtaxes3.zip (the numbering is weird because he added a meiouandtaxes2a for the tutorial that I'm not installing because it's not compatible with 1.8 ) When I now start the launcher it correctly names the three mods (MEIOU and Taxes 1.7, MEIOU and Taxes 2/3 & MEIOU and Taxes 3/3) and they are checked. On the start screen they are listed as active under content button. Still not getting the MEIOU loading screen nor is the map ingame changed as it should be. I'm at a loss on this one. I am by no means literate when it comes to these things but I can usually figure things out by being stubborn. Not here though. I appreciate anything anyone can tell me to fix this. Does anyone have access to MEIOU and Taxes 1.7(1.8.1 compatible) from the Paradox forum direct download? Thanks!

I already posted here the instruction how to download mods from workshop... Ofc now you can use better method via http://steamworkshopdownloader.com/POST LINK -> viewtopic.php?p=924433#p924433Start reading from line 10. This is the example: You need to create a folder named "meiouandtaxes1" and place everything except descriptor.mod. Then rename descriptor.mod to same as the name of folder "meiouandtaxes1.mod" This is how the .mod file needed to look in side - name="MEIOU and Taxes 1.17 (8-Dec-2014)"
- path="mod/meiouandtaxes1"
- replace_path="common/bookmarks"
- replace_path="common/buildings"
- replace_path="common/countries"
- replace_path="common/country_tags"
- replace_path="common/cultures"
- replace_path="common/governments"
- replace_path="common/hre_reforms"
- replace_path="common/natives"
- replace_path="common/prices"
- replace_path="common/province_names"
- replace_path="common/religions"
- replace_path="common/revolt_triggers"
- replace_path="common/technologies"
- replace_path="common/tradegoods"
- replace_path="common/units"
- replace_path="events"
- replace_path="decisions"
- replace_path="missions"
- replace_path="history/advisors"
- replace_path="history/countries"
- replace_path="history/diplomacy"
- replace_path="history/provinces"
- replace_path="history/wars"
- user_dir="MEIOUandTaxes1"
- supported_version="1.8"
-
You can see here that i removed archive="mod/meiouandtaxes1.zip" and replaced with this line path="mod/meiouandtaxes1" and removed all unnecessary lines like tags and picture (you can leave it but they are not important). Btw MEIOU and Taxes 1.17 are not yet updated for 1.9.0 or up version. They are still on 1.8.1 and it is written in workshop. BTW i have access to PARADOX mod section but i want you guys to get used to do it alone with workshop method that works perfect...

Thanks for the reply. I've tried doing as you ask and now I am getting crashes after I press start on the launcher. I have created three separate folders in the My Documents/Paradox/EUIV mod folder and extracted everything from the three archives into them as instructed. I have also renamed all three .mod files to match the folder. I have edited the .mod files as follows - meiouandtaxes1- meiousandtaxes2b- meiouandtaxes4- Is there something special I have to do because the mod comes in three separate parts? I am running a different EUIV than the ones you link here. Dunno if that matters. It is just an installer and I have it in a file installed under C:. I am also running 1.8.1 so meiou 1.7 should still work. p.s. I have tried many times to get the steamworkshopdownloader page to work but it doesn't do anything when I click the download file button. I can however get the files using the button I installed. p.s.s. I am thankful for the help and I believe I can get it right if I had to DL a different mod from the workshop but in this case if anyone can upload the direct download from Paradox forum it would save me tons of time I'm sure. I'm sure you guys have better things to do than humor me here. Thanks!

1. Great job, keep up the good work!
2. Is there any way to see and do achievements with this crack?
