The developer is just like "I'm sorry for port" but says nothing about fixing it or whatever. Wow..... |

DPfix aims to fix that. This is the 0.1 alpha release, so don’t expect the features / relative stability of recent DSfix versions — this really has only been tested on my system, and the first half hour or so of the game. It allows you to set the rendering and display resolutions of the game, and that’s pretty much it. For some of us, that’s the most important thing http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/DPfix01alpha.zip Maybe this? KillerOh wrote: And he's still keep going: http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=373 Seriously, they just rushed this to sell the game before Halloween... Now they can just stop apologizing for the fans and go PATCHING the Zach of it! The coffee said to do so! Nice, but now it's time for the developers to do something official about it...

After all this sh%ttalk about RSG I want to share my opinion: RSG is publisher for the game, but not developer. Ok, they obviously didn't do any testing of the product they were releasing, but they are not responsible for bugs, its only Access Games. So they now realice their dev team delivered sh%t, and want to weaken the damage. They should have outsourced it to a pc team, but it was their decision that AG develops it in-house. I think RSG contacted AG about it and force them to make a patch. The only problem I encountered was the choppy videos, but this is related to MICROSOFT and their bad codecs (and ofcourse AGs lack of exp not to use Microsoft stuff.) Maybe they will patch all errors someday or make it open source |

What with the huge disaster that was Aliens: Colonial Marines that the blame lies with all the parties involved and not just the people who handled the port. It's not like the developer can wash their hands off the game just because the port is being done by someone else. Such attitude is causing us to get more than a few poor ports and games nowadays. |

It's not like the developer can wash their hands off the game just because the port is being done by someone else. Such attitude is causing us to get more than a few poor ports and games nowadays. Remember: games like Assassins Creed III and Deus Ex HR were ported by external studios. But at DP, the core-devs of the game itself ported it. So they have no prior experience in porting and can therefore not make a good port, also PC in not popular in JPN, so they got no help there either. Having a team of specialized PC devs develop it it better than doing it yourself. I think it is Rising Star Games fault, they are just a british publisher who bring a hell of a lot of Jpn games to europe/us, so they should counsel or maybe organize somr help for them. concering Aliens CM: it was ported by the developer, but not developed by it It was the devs fault because they spent Segas money on Borderlands and wanted to get the Game out quick, which is why parts are missing. And BTW, the PC version wasnt bad, the whole game was bad. |
