Thanks! I have it installed now, but since there is no update for it, at least not as far as I'm aware, I downloaded the nosTEAM patch, which usually works, but when I installed that, the game crashes on me before even showing anything, it just shows the error message as soon as I click the exe, and nothing else, I tried updating to the latest C++ redist, but that didn't help, so what do I do?

there never was an update released. that "update" from nosTEAM must be another one of their FAKE updates(which i have seen them do for other games that never got an official update). so just install the game and crack it.
also imo i suggest staying far away from any of those nos releases.

Does the retail disc have a exe? Try this codex emu, however that retail disc needs 1GB update to bring it to the steam initial release.
