Many people said (and still say) the same about Tomb Raider. And it isn't that bad to be honest.
It will be the same for Thief. Which is also a reboot of the series.

lol your opinion is ridiculous. tomb raider was a good game but no where near as good as the last of us. if you actually owned the game you would know this.

anyways even though thief is turning out to me quite mediocre i would still like to finish it since the story seems pretty good going by the lets plays out so far.

I disagree. The Last of Us was the most overrated game of the year. It was good, especially on a technical level , but not the masterpiece everyone makes it out to be. The gameplay was boring and repetitive (not that Tomb Raider's wasn't repetitive), but thankfully the story was interesting and the voice acting great.
In comparison, Telltale's The Walking Dead was much more rewarding and complex, even though the gameplay is minimalistic.
