I bet it wouldn't need that much. usually they ask for 4GB targeting with modern OS. (OS+Background Software+Game)
Windows 7 needs at least 2GB RAM and with all background software and services it is expected to reach 3GB but this value might not be necessary because I use now Windows 7 x64bit OS and with a bit RAM tweak I can easily bring it down to 800MB but the publisher
sets the aforesaid value as the default value for giving a comfortable user experience so you don't get any choppy or laggy experience or any delay when using the system. but if you are an experienced user you can bring it more down. I disabled all unnecessary background software , services, and installed a good less system resource consuming anti virus guard, sometimes I tweak my ram to clean the memory so when it idles my ram utilization always resides at ~1GB. so when I play a game most of games don't even reach above 2.5GB. you can also install gamebooster to reduce the memory consumption even more.

Gamebooster and such do shit for modern pcs! How often you have to tell people.....!!! Its only usefull for old pcs with at least less than 2-3gb ram!

"Windows 7 needs at least 2GB RAM and with all background software and services it is expected to reach 3GB"

lol? I never have/had near 3gb ram usage in win7. Thats toally bs! Maybe an unexperienced user who have isntalled every crap software/services and so on would reach that, aka have 100 processes in taskman and so on... but normally no.

But i've said already enough on older threads about gamebooster and benefits from a few disabled services in a modern pc!

How about you start posting usefull comments for once!? Who cares. You will see how fast some1 will release a repack! Your postings does not contribute anything usefull to the topics. Like "where is crack/why still no crack, game is rlsd/will there be a crack today"... sigh

Thief launch trailer:

To put my 2 cents, I am a PC Gamer and only play console exclusives on the PS3 and I would still say The Last of Us was the GoTY for me and it is one game where I agree with the reviews which were spot on. It is one of the extremely rare breed of games where the story and gameplay support each other masterfully. The people who liked TR over it or some other game are all valid opinions but the troll posts are another matter (you know who you guys are)

Decrypting 20GB of data takes at least 2 hours with sisinstall, that was my experience with metal gear preload and I was using 2 separate hdd for the preload and extracted files.

So if you are on a fast connection, just wait for the unlocked release.

its just not a good game. ive seen how brain dead the ai is and it really detracts from the gameplay but the story seems pretty interesting though. i bet it will end up a 7.0 from users on metacritic. also lets be thankful so many people pay for pc singleplayer games otherwise we would be screwed

Some people on here suffer from post purchase rationalization syndrome mate. Doesn't matter what you say.

Not really true. what gamebooster does stop unnecessary background software, services and clean up the memory and it also defrags the hard drive. so it's useful even for a modern day PC because certain background software might utilize the hardware resources and so it will slow down the system somewhat this is mostly apparent when playing a game and defraging the hard drive helps to speed up the loading time of a game.
because when the hard disk is defragged bytes of a certain application and files belong to it in the same folder are listed close to contagious sectors so then hard disk can easily read data in contagious sectors so it decreases the reading time so decrease the loading time of a game this is really useful for mid range, low range PCs and also good for high end PCs unless s/he has a SSD drive with extra processing and ram power.I believe still it's good idea to use it because some applications like anti virus guards might scan the hard disk randomly when playing the game so it might utilize the processor quite high and consume the hardware resources available for the game and makes the game slow or lag a bit. remember it's always better to have spare power of the system don't let it make u close to the border. beside when the system resources are used less it saves the electricity too.

I didn't say it really needs 3GB RAM I meant it's expected to reach 3GB with all background software etc.. so it's like spare memory in case if someone needs it. Windows 7's 2GB requirement is for OS and for applications that an average user uses but gamers are not average users. and people install so many things and run them simultaneously like steam, firewall guard (for protecting from hacking useful for multiplayer), and most of people don't even like to close their favorite applications so all these things need 3GB RAM with the game having 4GB is more than enough but like I said it's not really necessary if you can close down unnecessary applications and services and clean up the ram but an inexperienced user doesn't know it s/he most likely knows install and play.

gamebooster can defrag just the game folder.
I was wondering if that is a good or bad thing ,
to defrag just a game folder,
