just a fyi, its patch v1.2.1(update 1).. and i think they didnt block all files from edit. it seems only .xml are blocked. .scr files look to still be fine(atleast for film grain)

Ya, sorry for the mistake, dunno mate my edited files stayed untouched after I applied 1.2.1 update and I had shadows ON in the game for some reason so I don't know.

its amazing, i had this in some other games too before, like i am running it at 1024x600 or something resolution but it doesn not look like that. do you know what i mean? sometimes some things show the low resolution but all in all it looks very good given i had to turn down everything.

if i have to choose between certain graphic settings or resoltuino i choose to turn down resolution, while i notice 720p is a bit blurrier, its not much difference

yeah, thats true, but sometimes i dont even notice it being blurrier, its just fine. i think a good example was Watch Dogs, or now this game, its just certain objects in the world but the rest is still perfect.

Yeah, I gave it a go - nothing happens when you change the performance settings in the script files now ..

Only thing that works is the noise removal.

Can someone get around this ? (Why did they do this by the way ? I mean we can optimize it on our own and they block it seriously ffs)

The only way you can fix this is go back to 1.2.0 version at this moment sadly, I just reinstalled 1.2.0 version and everything is fine again.

because you could do a WHOLE lot more editing beyond just performance tweaks, you can modify XP gains, weapon damage, weapon ranges.. they consider it "cheating"
