May I know where is the save game location of the game?
Please how do I permanently delete the save file and to stop restoring the save. Please help.

after deleting your save in the storage folder, try deleting also your FINAL FANTASY VIII Steam folder which should be located in "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Square Enix\"

I was able to successfully delete the save game permanently, you need to delete both (same) save file/s located at C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Square Enix\FINAL FANTASY VIII Steam\user_1234567901 and C:\Games\Final Fantasy VIII\3DMGAME\3DMGAME\storage (slot1.save01.ff8) thanks for helping icaruspade.

Lol, it was just sarcasm. ALL antivirus recognize steam_api.dll as virus. I think Newell just made a little payments here and there.
