gitaroo wrote: sad thing is after so many version, there still isnt a definitive version because this one is based on the HD PS3/360 ports, missing bump maps and lots of special effects from the gamecube. Oh no, is that true? Where did you get this information? Do you have any link to this article? |

The trailer doesn't look HD at all to be honest, i was expecting a remastered edition, but at least i get to finally finish the damn game now that it has improved controls... |

Imho this game will always be better with a pad rather than a keyboard. But it's just a matter of personal taste. I simply don't understand why there are people out there who see gamepads like a pestilence. You can find good gamepads for like 10 dollars nowadays, you know... |

Because shooters and third-person games are best played with a mouse that's why. I don't understand why people like dumbed down camera controls... The only games that are better played with a gamepad are sports games, fighting games and platformers. |

I totally disagree about third person games like tomb raider, assassin's creed and so on... playing them with a keyboard+mouse is a pain in the ass. |

I always play games like AC, Tomb Raider, GTA etc with keyboard+mouse and the amount of precision is absolutely perfect. I also finished ACB with both a controller and keyboard/mouse and the keyboard/mouse combination is immensely better, and much less prone to those navigational mistakes everyone is complaining about in AC games. Fine tuning the free-running with the mouse is amazing, and i wouldn't return to the clunky gamepad for anything... |

I never had any navigational problem with games like those or resident evil 4. I probably have got a very good pad and/or immense gaming skills. Good for you if you find keyboard so comfy. Case closed.ankush wrote: Oh no, is that true? Where did you get this information? Do you have any link to this article? Hd versions for ps3/xbox360 (and most probably upcoming pc version too) are missing gamecube bump mapping effect (some users say that on the forums) and -maybe- some particular lighting effects. I saw several youtube videos of those versions and gamecube and honestly I cannot see the difference at all. Previous pc version was a fugly direct ps2 port (less polygons, less graphical effects, more contents). The hd version adds gamecube lighting effects (dynamic) and realtime cutscenes, better textures, gamecube polygon count and 60fps instead of 30. |

I really have hope that this version could become a true "ultimate" one and not such shit like the 1000+ hypermodded and -patched versions circulating on the web. I loved RE4 already in the good old PS2 times and I keep my thumbs crossed for the quality of this HD release! Do not disappoint us Capcom... |

This game has been milked as hell but let's face it, it's a masterpiece, last work of Shinji Mikami at Capcom and one of the best (if not the best) Resident evil ever with Resident evil 1 (remake) and Resident evil 2. "Miralo! esta herido!!!" |

"Miralo! esta herido!!!" Yes, you're totally right, RE4 is a real masterpiece and much better than its followers 5 & 6, in nearly all elements like gameplay, atmosphere, suspense etc.. Only the graphics are better in RE6 imo, but thats basically logical as it came out in 2012 and not in 2005! |

Here's some nice comparison shots: http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/apps/254...pg?t=1390454052 http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/apps/254...pg?t=1390454052 http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/apps/254...pg?t=1390454052 I still think that the texture patch v2.0 by Albert Marin Garau (albert / vegitto) for the Sourcenext version is better |
