I changed back to Win7, now it works. Hopefully the devs will fix this annoying issue.

New patch was released on 26th February:
  1.  
  2. -Fixed various crashing bugs
  3. -Implemented impedance system (and buffed current spell damage)
  4. -Implemented the storm shard
  5. -Added a couple more items
  6. -Added Xbox 360 and PS3 controller support
  7. -Buffed bow damage
  8. -Fixed mace skill
  9. -Added camera zoom (via mouse wheel)

New patch again:
  1. 3-16-2014 Patch Notes
  2. -Fixed the torch bug
  3. -Implemented a rudimentary location saving system (via the 'm')
  4. -Implemented many backend code changes
  5. -Implemented a new legendary weapon
  6. -Added several new NPCs with dialogue
  7. -The first quest is now completable
  8.  
  9. The base character meshes are done, but we received word from CryTek of a new engine version coming very soon which will allow us to have the following:
  10. Linux Support
  11. Physically Based Rendering
  12. Better 32 bit and Windows 8 Support
  13. More Stable Engine Build
  14. Significantly Better Visuals
  15.  
  16. Due to this news, we have postponed the new character and combat system (though it is being worked on in the background), and will release a very large update in the coming couple months. We have been reworking code in preparation for migration to the new engine.
  17.  
  18. In the meantime, we will continue to add new items, a new creature, new areas, and new spells.
  19.  
  20. We have also implemented a much easier way for us to add NPCs, so expect quite a few new NPCs with dialogue and some new quests in the coming patches. We are mostly holding off on making new clothing and armor (so the NPCs will be wearing similar clothing), because of the new character system coming soon, and don't want to waste anymore effort on the old character models.

  22. We are also still working on a UI redesign (which will come as part of the large update), and will include a map system that will allow you to camp (which right now is simply implemented by hitting the button "m" while out of combat).

Seems no group is interesting in releasing the game or even the updates, that's really sad because it's quite a good game which only needs a few more patches... :(

Anyone got the latest version?
This came out a few days ago. The update before that changed quite a lot too.
  1. Changelog:
  2. -Added the first quest of the main storyline in
  3. -Added the deathblood boss
  4. -Revamped the entire crypt area
  5. -Fixed bugs related to the bed
  6. -Added a new player starting area related to the quest
  7. -Updated NPC dialog
  8. -Added AI optimizations for better performance
  9. -Added in multiple death spells that will be available to the player in future updates
  10. -Added a basic map of the first area


(If nobody has it, I'll consider buying it in about 1,5 week, so I can share it).
