This worked for me, saw the solution on the steam forums, apparently the crashes during cutscenes are triggered by sound desync issues, the way to fix this is a simple .ini edit.

Open your KidEngine.ini and look for the [XAudio2.XAudio2Device] section then leave it like this

[XAudio2.XAudio2Device]
MaxChannels=64
CommonAudioPoolSize=320
MinCompressedDurationGame=0.3
MinCompressedDurationEditor=500
LowPassFilterResonance=0.9
WorkAroundXDKRegression=FALSE

Set the file to read only so the game doesn't reset the values back, this tweak also helped a bit with stuttering I was having, however the game stick gets stuck for me where the door is supposed to close in act 3.

@dopefish69: Not work for me. Still crash when loading ep 10 :cry:

Edit: Great, problem has been solved ! Just decrease graphic quality. It's worked ! :twisted:

How come this game did not get a Scene release?

Between the currently available FTS, CODEX and 3DM releases, which one would you recommend i should download?

CODEX actually is a scene group... :wink:

All releases you listed are de facto identical, only the cracks differ. If you don't like loose files, skip the 3DM release, FTS and CODEX come with installers... :wink:

Well yeah, but i thought they were being condemned by the community for stealing others works. Am i mistaken?

Thanks. Actually there was a visible size difference between all of these, with 3DM's release being 8.3GB. While FTS @ 10.2GB and CODEX being released first, @ 11.6GB.

Is 3DM release "Already extracted"? :S

the 3DM release is extracted(loose files, extract and play).. as for the size differences, it all has to do with compression!

Thanks @machine4578 and @Christsnatcher. You guys have been very helpful, as always :D

FTS or CODEX it is then :)

----------

One last question, which would be offtopic. I download the Watchdogs RELOADED release, which was MultiLanguage. My question is ... can we simply DELETE those extra languages (other than english) from the iso? I mean, is it easy and possible?

CODEX is a fine group and nobody condemned them for anything.

3DM releases are mostly "extract and play" sort while FTS and CODEX and most other releases come in iso format with installers. and FTS releases are mostly English only.

@abobobilly
I guess if you delete the language files on the .iso the Ubisoft installer will fail to install, because I highly guess that it checkes file integrity before installing...l

Yep, i also think along the same lines. Which is why i am reluctant on trying it.

However, i'll try to do a "Test Install" this way and see if it works. Though i am not really keeping my hopes high.

I have always wondered how do these release groups mod their iso files. Take "PROPHET" for example ... releasing "Complete Edition" of some games including all the updates and DLCs. It has happened with me quite a few times where i had all the updates and DLCs already downloaded for a certain game, but to merge all of it in a single .iso ... i had to download it AGAIN (in the form of PROPHET's release).

So if you have any information at all about this dilemma of mine, please do share.

Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it :)

Release groups like PROPHET take the files from an updated game installation with all dlc (mostly legit from steam) and "pack" them with inno, sometimes with additional compression methods. The inno installer then cares about unpacking the game correctly on the user's pc and writing the needed registry entries. The final step in unlocking the dlc does the crack, if it has no such function, then there're no dlc in most of the cases...

@Christsnatcher! Thanks for the brief reply brother.

So basically its not as easy as it seems. And PROPHET actually downloads the fully updated version instead of "updating themselves" (thats what you are implying right?)
