CODEX actually is a scene group...

Well yeah, but i thought they were being condemned by the community for stealing others works. Am i mistaken?

All releases you listed are de facto identical, only the cracks differ. If you don't like loose files, skip the 3DM release, FTS and CODEX come with installers...

Thanks. Actually there was a visible size difference between all of these, with 3DM's release being 8.3GB. While FTS @ 10.2GB and CODEX being released first, @ 11.6GB.

Is 3DM release "Already extracted"? :S

CODEX is a fine group and nobody condemned them for anything.

3DM releases are mostly "extract and play" sort while FTS and CODEX and most other releases come in iso format with installers. and FTS releases are mostly English only.

he was referring to the reloaded or skidrow i think they thought he was ripping their code off which he both was and wasnt... however codex with among the sleep DID use a GoG ver and slapped his name on it.

i guess you are talking about trial fusion, if that is the case, you shall know that SKIDROW got condemned for accusing them and SKIDROW release got even NUKED because of that.

@abobobilly
Yes, exactly, groups like PPT take the fully updated game version from mostly a legit source, pack them and - that's the crucial step - crack them properly (or less properly... )... They do not need to search for any updates, since the most up-to-date files are present... The only magic - if there's some - is the crack...

Actually using ideas form dualcore.dll (from Far Cry 4 thread) to emulate >2-core system on 2-core hardware I got over never-ending save which blocked game progress in 3-rd mission (it's the same sort of bug as in Far Cry 4 it seems).

upd: It seems that 32-bit version of dualcore.dll is of no help  ... something to do with .NET-based code of the game probably. So the only way now is to manually set dwNumberOfProcessors to 3 and dwActiveProcessorMask to 7 after each GetSystemInfo call originating from KidGame.exe. I used API Monitor v2 for this.

Wait, a 32-bit version dualcore.dll exists? I looked through the FC4 thread, and all I could download was a 64-bit version. As for the second solution: how were you able to do that? I'm unfamiliar with API Monitor.

You can compile 32-bit version from the source code that was provided recently. You just need to configure project for 32-bit environment and use EasyHook32.lib.

The API Monitor usage is as follows:
1) run apimonitor-x86.exe and wait till it initializes its database, verify that Enable monitoring is checked in the file menu.
2) from API filter set mark on Windows System information - System information - kernel32.dll - GetSystemInfo
3) set mark Breakpoint - After call in the menu of GetSystemInfo
4) run the game
5) press Monitor button when prompted
6) skip (press Continue) all calls to the function not coming from kidgame.exe
7) on calls from kidgame.exe set dwNumberOfProcessors to 3 and dwActiveProcessorMask to 7 (expand the displayed data structure to see them); [edit by doubleclicking on the field value and confirm by pressing Enter].

Thank you for the reply and the instructions! However, for whatever reason, it keeps hanging on the same call every time I load up the game. I've tried it 5 times already, following the instructions to the letter, but no luck. I'm so disappointed, as I've been looking forward to playing this since release.

[Edit: Would there be anyway to get the 32-bit .dll from you or no?]

I am sad at how you failed to read in my first post that 32-bit dll is not working for the game. Try harder with API Monitor as it worked for me (on Windows 7 x64). I don't see why it won't work on other machines. Or there is a slim chance that somebody with better programming skills make injection dll method work.

i hope someone does come by with better dll injection skillz to make this work , would this fix the horrible frame drops aka judders that occur every few seconds i get when setting the game to 60fps in the kidengine.ini and the defaultengine.ini, im pissed off at how horribly optimized this game is it had these judders on the xbox360 version as well

Alright so I might as well post my results here. I feel like I may have messed up something because this does not look right at all.

@sidnei55: I have neither disk space for the game nor time, sry.

@sleepsiren: There should be smaller window which has Break and Continue buttons when the program breaks on that function. Otherwise things seem proper. It's where you should press Continue after changing the values. And you can close the program after you got to the main game menu.
