Or you could just, you know, upgrade your damn PC and play the game on maximum visuals, rather than just keep trying to go all low and have everything look ugly AF. Just sayin'...

For the sake of coherency, the precuel is destinated to sell bad, unless it is fair priced, as, as everyone who played it know, it's what in old times was called a demo.

May be worth getting if fair priced and at a discounted price on a steam sale, otherwise for 2 or less hours of gameplay, it's simply not worth it. Here is a full stealth game completion... in less than 6 minutes.:

Spoiler

Well time will say, until then, have fun :)

Speedrun can never be considered "full completion". If you take time to explore and watch the cutscenes, the game's total playtime can amount up to at least 3 hours.
Anyway, price will most likely fall somewhere between 14.99 to 19.99. Any higher than that, and there's gonna be a shitstorm.

IF i remember right the game was $49.99 on consoles and then dropped a bit after release to $29.99 and that's where it's at now while 14.99 to 19.99 is reasonable it wont be at that and will probably release at 29.99 and then drop for the steam winter sale to like 10 dollars on a flash sell or something.

you think all ppl have good life & lot of money?

If you have the money to get an powerfull PC then by every game you want and don't pirate it.

So far what Konami says, PC version gonna have 4K support, better lighting, better textures, shadow and many other effects (that consoles can't handle :8=) )
Let's have hope that this not gonna be a lazy, shitty port like MGS and MGS2 -.-

Or I could just, you know, NOT spend 500€ and just play the game on low settings. that makes too much sense.

and fyi, low does not mean "ugly AF". its still the same game. with some smart implementation of low performance-impact effects, the game can still look very good, hence why the PS3 and X360 had legs. smart compromise/balancing of resources and budget.

besides, my computer is fine, but i underclock and undervolt to save on power and heat.

i'm trying not to sound like a broken record here because i've said this about many games, but since this also came out on X360 and PS3, the game shouldn't be hard to run and should scale well for older hardware. i'm not saying they should fuck high quality, but give us the options to turn off or reduce effects. you know, like a good PC port would

I'm a senior student, and I have no jobs at the moment. But, I managed to save up over time, and got me a fancy graphics card. At the very least, that's what most people should be able to do.
I understand in some cases when you're stuck on cash and can't afford just yet (because I've been there), but after a long while, I learned one thing: all that time you spend wondering whether the game's gonna run well enough on a weak ass PC at low settings, can be spent on saving up cash to upgrade that weak ass PC to play at higher settings.

or better yet, use that money you saved up for more important things in life

in other words, to each their own

Alright, won't try to convince you anymore then. Still, if you don't plan to stop playing PC games any time soon, then you're bound to upgrade anyway because the time will come when your card can't handle any sort of modern games.

of course new releases won't run on my "Weak ass PC" forever. this is very much a "cross-gen" time though. which means games don't look much better and we get screwed with bad optimization. we won't see true next-gen quality and optimization for another 2-3 years. i might upgrade then. in the meantime, there are still dozens of awesome last-gen games that i haven't even gotten to yet. i have plenty to keep me busy on my "Weak ass PC". ;;)

In my case I simply had a motherboard & CPU that was too old to handle modern graphics cards, or at least would lead to significant CPU bottlenecking. Figured I might as well buy a new higher-end PC since simply updating the graphics card wouldn't cut it. Took me 6 years before I got into a position where I could without cutting into my budget too deeply.
