As you've already found out, we're not too big on DRM, rather focusing our efforts in making the actual game. That being said, we are a small, independent company, currently working on the Early Access build of the game, and any support is much appreciated. In fact, if you are irritated by Steam/DRM, you can buy the non-Steam, DRM-free version of the game straight from our homepage.

You can follow us and the progress on the Steam forums and in Twitter. If you at some point are convinced enough to support us and the game with a purchase, we would be most grateful!
