Not seeing much of a performance improvement even with 1.1.1. Might wait for all the episodes to come out. More updates with improvements would've been released by then, I suppose.

NOTE FOR FLT UPDATES:
This warning applies to this update and dreamfall chap,v1.1.1-FLTDOX.



If u have 32bit setup ,you will need to get the latest x86(32bit) xdelta3-3.0.8.x86-32.exe and rename it to xdelta3.exe.

Then manually extract the update with winrar and replace the xdelta3.exe with your 32bit version.

It will be in the 'Dreamfall Chapters_Data' folder of the update.

Then put ALL the update files into game folder (overwrite any files ,if asked .

Then run start.bat.



p.s. u can get the latest 32bit xdelta by googling ,it's near the top of search results.

The flt version seems to work ok with the two FLTDOX v1.1 +v1.1.1 patches they released.

Though the cutscenes still run really slow.


sidenote:
Has anyone got the mods for Dreamfall TLJ (the second longestjourney game)

has anyone got a save file for just after u grab the floating bodies fallling out of the sky.
It's right near the beginning.

for some reason ,i can't seem to grab them as they fall out of the sky and fly past you.

I've given up trying .

i know what u have to do.( i'm pretty sure)
u open up the circle thingy and choose the "eggtimer" to slow time.
Then the circle thingy closes and you're supposed to then grab the falling body.
but it is not working.
it might be coz I'm on an old computer.
i remember saints row 4 had some issues ,where u had to change the resolution to get a ship through some gates.

anyway ,if anyone has a save for just after that point ,I'd be verwee gwateful. ::)

It's easy first look at it by clicking on the F (as I remember) then slow the time and grab it.

If anyone has problems using the "convert GOG-FLT release to the Steam-Rip-Pack" patcher
released by clay65 a few pages back.
It failed with errors for me in c:\games\dreamfall

But it worked on my second harddrive in e:games\dreamfall.

same with the FTS updates.
I'm not sure why that is ,but i thought it might help someone .

Also ,You can always use the bigger FTL updates ,if FTS updates don't work for your version.

I installed it on winxp ::)


Sometimes an xdelta patch will fail ,but if i run it again it works ok.

Maybe it's something to do with memory gremlins or something.

It's strange , after applying the new FTS update 3 ,I can finally get past the bit near the beginning with the falling ghost.

The word 'time' pops up underneath the 'eggtimer' after clicking on it .
Before ,when i clicked on it ,nothing happened.

Does anyone know how to get past the lamppost section?
I light the lamp and then it goes out and the ghost won't walk any further ,coz the lamp light keeps going out before he can move on.

I'm having a bit of a braindead sunday :)
