getting the eng files from corepack to my xatab version
I was just gonna mention corepack . I went to check if it's still up and their account has been suspended and website is gone.
you might have checked wrong site or was just down momentarily coz i've checked everything including the links and everything is up and running top speed.

Hi, just wanted to know if i've done everything right
I downloaded CODEX release and then 3DM update. I applyed the second by just moving those DLC pastes and crack to the game folder. I'm playing everything alright, just don't know if it's updated . Sorry the noobism, but is there a way to know in-game or something? Thanks

Downloaded and applied update2-3dm, then you know its updated. And update/s like always the last times 3 weeks later. Not acceptable for Scene. They can do better!
Could someone pls upload the full update 2 to something else then this chinese hoster ? it's taking me 10+ hours to download the 150 mb from them, a free hoster with good speed like zippy or mega would be great. thank you in advance!
• Version: Full incl. Update 2 • Release: Valkyria.Chronicles.Incl.Update.2.and.DLCs.MULTi2-m3Zz • Language: English + Voice in English or Japanese • Format: 7z-Archive (v9.30+)
Extract the "Valkyria Chronicles" folder to wherever you like and start the game with "Valkyria.exe". Configure graphics, audio and input through the "Launcher.exe", but set specific game related settings in-game.
The game is English only, but in-game you can switch audio to Japanese.
Crack: The game is pre-cracked with CPY's crack (from "Valkyria.Chronicles.UPDATE.2.INC.DLC-CPY"). Original files and a crack backup are inside the "Crack" folder.
If they managed to encode *.sfd files, yes there could be. If not, then not. ^^ Videos alone are 14,9 GB in total, the whole game has 19,9 GB. So ~5 GB is the game, rest = videos.
And I don't think there will be any such release, ever. I would not upload it, I'm not a friend of ripping/reencoding stuff out of games, especially videos or music.
Is there any repack with around 70% videos recoded???
Video quality is not the best to begin with and the format used is old like hell. And the way it is implemented is a bit tricky. Re-encoding it to the same format with smaller filesize will result in awful quality. And videos are one of the most important parts of this game. Half of the time you spend on this game - you watch these videos. Also not sure what do you mean by "70% videos recoded". Why 70% and not other 30%? And how to decide which videos are going to be in 70% part and deserve to be re-encoded. If you mean making it 70% smaller - this way you aren't gonna see anything but a bunch of moving squares instead of videos. Even making it 10% smaller will be noticeable.

i meant re-encode with 70% quality - iirc they are 1080p now so with 70% they would be around 720p. I just dont really like to have 2gb game with 15gb videos on 720p monitor

they are 720p. and the whole game is 720p. true that it supports setting any resolution you want, but assets are just getting upscaled this way and don't hold much additional details. All you get is sharper 3d model edges. Also video filesize, quality and resolution are 3 separate things. One does not nesessarily depends on another. Say if videos was 1080p, having them downscaled to 720p doesn't necessarily will produce smaller files, espetially with this old-n-crappy format. Unless we will willingly degrade visual quality. (not to mention that any reencoding is always a quality degradation). On the other hand we can make filesize smaller, while keeping video 1080p.
Edit: anyway, VC videos are already crappy. Making them smaller in any way = making them more crappy.
