Not thst hard to guess - judgung by scene unability to deal with revent stuff like cpuCEG and Denuvo. We can expect more of hw-loclong DRMs and mpre pf antitamperong checks and triggers.

I'm not worried about it. Game runs perfect with 224531 as it did with 220996. I'm good to go without anymore patches.

Well, Denuvo was "cracked" relatively quickly (1 month for DA:I), Talos principle took longer because it didn't get attention from any major group, otherwise it would've been cracked in a day or two, since CEG with CPUID is nothing new.
In the future I expect to see games streamed from remote servers. Obviously, they'd say it's for the player's convenience, but we actually know it's just so that the game cannot be cracked. That's what I call cloud apocalypse, and it's the worst scenario I can imagine. Another thing that may happen could be that games will become so unbeliveably shite that it would be pointless to play them, and therefore don't get cracked.

What's very disturbing IMHO is the fact that cracking groups (or individuals) don't want to share knowledge. In the past, when a DRM was cracked, details on it were released so other crackers could learn, but now that doesn't happen anymore, and what happened with this game is a perfect example of why that's bad. Even small crackers don't want to tell how they do it. Again, let's take Talos Principle as an example: steam006 (no offense intended, seriously) needs nothing but your CPUID data to make a crack for your CPU, that means he knows how to put your data into the exe, and recalculate whatever hashes are in the exe, and if you look at timestamps, it takes him just a few minutes to do that. If he released details about this process, a skilled programmer could have been able to make a "crack generator", and we would have had a crack for the game, instead of waiting for the dev's mercy to release a semi unprotected exe, or begging him to make a crack for some CPU that only 5 people in the world have.
This is worse than DRM, it's as bad as proprietary software can get, and eventually, it could lead to the destruction of what's left of the scene.

Again, I don't mean to insult a member of this community, but wtf.

To be fair though,if that knowledge was public the devs would have an easy time figuring out how to prevent said procedure.
Not to mention that there's quite a number of members on here that can't keep stuff secret (like it happened with the uplay exploit and more recently with the Life is Strange episode 2 leak).

Oh look who has crawled back out of his cave. first of all, Denuvo never got cracked, it got emulated by collecting thousands of hardware IDs just like the way I did with CPUID CEG.
Scene groups didn't bother with this game because of Croteam's custom checks otherwise cracking ceg is a one minute job for Reloaded.

Everything was compiled on Valve server, nobody was calculating hashes, nobody could make a crack generator for this game. everything is encrypted and only valve has the key.

Please don't spit out crap like this when you have zero idea of how things work.

is any one having difficulties with high speed mines chasing them through mobile minefield, I think it's in level 5 to the left? I think some how even though I've updated to the latest version and used the most recent crack and deleted everything before hand, I've triggered something, by the way it is installed in the right directory as well.

I have zero idea how things work because you don't say how they work.
Anyway, I said twice in my post that I didn't mean to be offensive, so if what I said is wrong, I'll accept it.
You say you've used that CPUID data to make the steam server make an exe for that CPU. Care to say how? I've never seen such a function in any cracked steam or steam emulator, but perhaps I've missed it.

Post subject:  Re: The Talos Principle - READ OP!!

well, if i understood right (and please sam2k8 correct me if i'm wrong )

to generate such exe's or dll's using cpuid with LumaCEG would imply first to own the game on Steam

and that would become almost pointless (and ofc impossible if not having legit game in the first place) for every individuals to generate cracks for their own cpu's as it would require first to buy the game

the only secret (that i don't really care about ) is how to make LumaCEG generate ceg exe or dll for other CPU's using cpuid (and yes this can be a one person effort (in this cases sam2k8 ) for those that didn't bought the game)

Could someone upload the latest public manifest files, along with the depots of the soundtrack & bonus contents?

Thanks in advance!
