Even if I prefer classic point&click adventures, it's nice to see they revamped the engine and it's not just the old version with exe adapted for modern Windows OS

Afaik the classic windows cdrom is a pain in the ass to run without any problems on modern systems, often it doesn't run at all

Highly recommended from me (above The Longest Journey 1, Loom talkie or Syberia).

It's easy to get into and enjoy. Actually smile.

The intro movie sets you up nicely on the game's atmosphere - smart humor mixed with genuine voice acting and storytelling. With some clever puzzles thrown in here and there.



The Mexican angle fits well and chances are you'll like the main character's unique charm. I can't think of any game that touches the specific folklore like this one does.

If at times you feel the game is some "sleepy", keep playing through to the end. It makes some good adjustments later on with surprises.

Too bad i played this so much that i know every tiny detail. If you havent played it and love good Adventures, its a must play!

There is an implementation of the game called ResidualVM, its like SummVM but with the GrimE engine. Grim Fandango works perfectly in every system supported. It works pretty well even on Wii.

The guy who made the 'mouse mod' for grim fandango was co-opted into helping with this remastered version.
