why these guys don't like to compress their releases? 11.7 gb game looks interesting
i wonder too that there are no scene rules for this, it just doesn't make sense. they could use compression for the installer, and then there was no need to compress again for rar-ing. so they don't even save time the way they're doing it now.
The gameplay is so 'rough' that the game is more frustrating than enjoyable. I also kind of expected more from an Unreal 4 game graphics wise. The actual compressed RAR size is 2.33GB, hehe.
The scene doesn't compress because they always try to be the first to release it so the process needs to be as fast as it can be; compressing takes a lot of CPU cycles and, of course, time which cannot be sacrificied.
as said, they could only store for rar-ing (it won't compress any more) and save the time there. and LZMA compression for the inno installer is about just as fast as RAR compression. so being fast to win the race isn't really valid argument here.
