Post subject:  Shaw high speed internet

With shaw internet there a limit about downloading only about 20GB. I'm looking for a program that can stop shaw from detecting how much amount of GB's i do. I've been trying everything and i found out that if i turn off my modeom every 15min they won't record it. I also have a router maybe i can configure that to do something about it. Maybe close ports or something. Can you guys help me? or tell me some sites that can?

I got 20GB limit. But some dude made a FireFox extension to monitor your dl usage, but it only works on Australian ISP. You could always search Google, MSN, Yahoo! or Turbo10?

is getting a new isp not an option? even if a competitors upstream/downstream is slower it would still be worth it since then u could actually use the connection for somethign worthwhile. also im not so sure the usage details are even stored in ur modem, so u might be sol.

well you could block it, it would depend on if the info is stored on your comp/modem/company

the first two you can get software and edit, or block ports and such..
the third one is only doable on cable (i didnt read if you had it or not)
