Omnibook is what manufacturer? If so do as Dred said and go to the website. I highly doubt there will be a way for you to purchase one of the laptop graphic cards and place it.. But anything is possible with research. You have to understand that the laptop graphic cards are not sold seperately as per what ive seen. They are sold only with laptops because they get integrated into the laptop. But good luck with your search. |

As I stated the chips and graphics ive seen are integrated. Like my laptop for example. I cannot run CS even though I have a 1 ghz lappie. My video card does not support it even through driver updates. I believe the cards are integrated. They are mobile gpus I believe. |

in my opinion...more than your laptop is probably worth....building a really nice pc would be much cheaper |

With laptops you cannot just buy a MB with an integrated chip and place it on your regular setup. It has to be a certain MB to a certain laptop case. With laptops its just best buying new or used complete laptops. Then there is the PC issue. With the price of purchasing a laptop you can build 2 to 3 desktop pcs. I understand the need for a laptop because I have one as well. But 2 or 3 desktops is more than enough for me

Only way to play source with a laptop is to have these :: A) A laptop with over 1.7 ghz Intel processor or an AmD. B) A laptop that comes with either a mobile radeon (newer versions) Or the mobile 6800 go from nvidia. C) At least 1 gig of ram. Thats about it truthfully. Good luck on that one

my laptop is a HP and it got a 2.8ghz P4 256 ram ati radeon 9000 with 64mb it can play source but i obviouly need more ram cause its really slow so if i just got 256 more ram it will run fine i think at least. |

512 ram is good enough but I recommend at least a gig for best performance. |

yea but it does run it without errors so and as far as i know video cards for laptops are not replacable so i got to deal with it, iam gonna buy some ram for it so it runs better.

i can always play on my desktop which is way better 3.0Ghz P4 with HT 512 ram 128mb radeon 9200 (lol i know its a dated card but whatever it works fine) this plays source with everything on high and it runs awsome. |
