My school uses ranger and yes... I have hacked my schools network =) and didn't get caught (which is always a bonus) lol
I can't remember if its ranger or another piece of software my school uses, but there is this funky "control panel" type thing. You can view all logged in users screens from a remote PC, to see exactly what they are up to, you can send them messeges (I think via net send) and you can shut down/log out users remotely it's great! lol
anyhoo...my school isn't that restrictive, sorry I can't help.

LOL. You talking about hacking school's network, or school in general?

I wrote a netsend batchfile... got me banned for a while but it was still fun to see the admins embarrassed angered as 'lubricated gibbon' popped up on all computers... oh well... stupid idea anyway.

Cool, how you do that?
Please tell, I wouldn't do it myself, I'd have a friend do it.

Very easy:
1. open notepad
2. type
@echo off
net send * message goes here
3. save the file as something.bat (in notepad, type the name in quotes with the extension e.g. "something.bat" so it doesn't save as a .txt
4. Run the .bat file and there... instant annoyance

Yep, the only time it wouldn't work is if they've disabled the messenger service - and it's not likely that they have as admins generally use it to give warnings when you logon and stuff
