why can i access an computer that was(was hehehe) running mcafee antivirus and norton firewall 2005

and didn't blocked me out..
like i said it only checks programs on the computer and let it access the internet.

So if i have an exploit for like MSN (remote msn exploit in this case)
and it spawns shell on a port.. i can just connect and disable the rest of all AV with net stop lol

If a firewall is up running and configured right it should drop all incoming packets. It doesn't respond to ping or anything. The computer is invisible. The Norton firewall must have been misconfigured because it responded. (I've never used Norton because i think it suck)
A stateful firewall will let anything that goes out come in.
If a service opens a port then yes you can enter. A good firewall will ask you if you want something to access the internet and if you want to accept incoming traffic on that port.

ok MaddoxX if u dunt wanna talk to me atleast till me just an intro an how to hack someones pc ... please common man ... someguy constantly hacks mine(cause currently I dunt have any firewalls etc ...been to busy with uni) and he liek moves my mouse and clicks here and deletes files in front of my face ... writes messages etc ... so my only line of defence is to shut down comp ...

Then every system I owned should be asking if I may access their system hahaha (I have now 534 PC's under my control and with like 70% running AV & Firewall) So this shit about firewall is complete bullshit..

Hahaha yeah I believe that. I believe because I've made a linux nat router with iptables, made a nmap scan on it and it passed AND i have a buddy that hacked nasa and is now in prison for 6 years, Believe I know what I'm talking about.

Nah he didn't get caught when he hacked nasa. He didn't hack it to find anything. He just did it because he thought it would be cool. And of course they don't put their secrets online.
He tried to change passwords to some launch ramps or something when he got caught. I have to say its stupid to hack those things.

BTW don't go buy anything. Get a cheap old computer and install linux on it. That's alot cheaper and just as good. There are loads of tutorials how to make a linux firewall.

Norton internet security 2005 is the best of all security programs. It contains firewall, antivirus, anti-spam filter, and etc. I'm using it... and i've no problems with my securty. BUT! This is offtopic!
