xpMule - v0.47c - F2

This is an emule mod that is based on the official source code
and uses the features of the dazzle mod plus a few extras.

I'd like to say thank you to Dazzle for sharing his source code
and letting me use it in my own mod. Dazzle is THE man !

Final comment..
I was hoping to add an IP2Country Updating feature "borrowed"
from the morph mod.. i did and it worked but i didn't have to time
to code in the UI Options for the feature so i commented out a bit of code.
I'll add that feature on the next release.. enjoy
 

Introduction
The xpMule emule mod is the basically the same as the official emule you're used to, but its download speed is a lot faster. There a lot of tweaks 'under the hood' to really make it fly and work more like bittorrent. There are also some features that can help you in protecting your privacy. You can use this mod as a leecher mod, however it is not meant as such. It is meant to improve your download speed, not to lower your upload speed. However, I think sharing should not be an enforced rule and everybody should be free to choose if he wants to upload or not. If you do not upload, the network should punish you by itself. The emule network only partly does this, that's why leeching is still possible. I do not recommend to do it, you'll hurt network performance and your own download speed will also be lower.
Features
This featurelist does not list all tweaks. This mod is not loaded with tons of small features. Most changes are 'under the hood', I'm only listing all the changes in experience compared to the official mule.

    * Faster download speeds, realized by an advance uploading algorithm. Reverse credit system is used to gain maximum credits increase from your limited upload. Tit-for-tat / payback first is used to create dynamic sharing communities with similar mods (like bittorrent). (for a detailed description, see the faq)
    * To prevent committing copyright infringement, there are several option to disable sharing of files. You can also disable the sharing of files you're downloading. (For more information, see the faq)
    * Unlimited searching (There is no limit in the number of search result, giving you more diverse search results)
    * No minimum enforced upload or download ratio. This is useful if your connection has a low upload speed.
    * The mod has a only limited number of tested features, therefore this mod is about as stable as the official client.
