If it wasn't so long I'd make a QFT of ResR's post. However, imo, what he said is true.
And some genres I listen to usually hate each other (Techno <> Hip Hop; I often see anti-Hip Hop things (music, statements) from the Techno camp.) However, it's a matter of taste and no music genre is the ultimate one. I like for example parts of rock, hip-hop, raggae, R&B and techno. And it's everyone's decision what's important to him with music, I for example don't care too much about lyrics but that the music sounds good. (Okay, there are genres where both isn't the case , imo german hip hop for example.)

How important lyrics are is for you is up to yourself, for me they aren't important either.
..but once you realized what I wrote in my post it's kinda funny to see music genre bashing
Godflesh is also Industrial and Electronic? *checks out the band*
Edit: It's ok, but not too interesting for me since they can't sing either
You know, someone who has Enya as #12 in his top artists (at last.fm) cannot not care about singing

No, I always thought that isn't too far from each other?.. At least there's more peace than between Rap and Rock, from my experience.

I did so too before I started with Techno/Trance/House/etc., but on my favorite Techno stream they make always jokes of hip-hop and furthermore there are songs like Pimp! Code - You know (Quote: "You know what is rock, but you don't know what's hip-hop"). I personally don't have any idea why this is so. I also think that it's the same between Techno <> Rock.

No, it doesn't.
..it isn't rare at the radio
..and that's what a song needs to be or else it annoys you after two months.
..and where's the fucking rhythm and synth sounds here
Lyrics, singing and etc is good though. Nickelback is fine, just not my taste.

Well, this is really not the end of the world.
Imo you don't have to know who he is.

I was so surprised that I wasnt sure if he really meant it that way, that's why I was asking it.

Bob Dylan? He's a singer-songwriter, afaik, but what has this have to do with anything?
It's just that while I was browsing this thread, the 'image' was freezed at the part where Bob Dylan is holding a sign with 'Fail' written on it.
