Then you lock when you think a topic will go bad, not because a topic actually went bad. That is suppressing, that is censorship.
Pointless. There is no 'going bad' for a thread. After all, this is a discussion forum on a specific topic, Steam-related things that is. It's not a place to proclaim your own opinion on a subject unrelated to that. It's neither any form of suppression nor censorship. If the moderation team decides that a specific thread is not appropriate within the context of said forum, then it is at their will to remove inappropriate content. You don't have to agree with their decision to do so, and can impugn it. Sure, you may feel free to do so. Nevertheless, it does usually not help your case.
Considering the thread in question, in response to which I suspect this thread here was started, it may have been a sapient step to examine it more thoroughly. If you had done so, you would have probably become aware of the fact, that it was solely made to affront a certain group, and nothing else.
Be that as it may, you started this discussion to draw attention to threads locked in the past, which you contradictorily did not name explicitely. For some reason, you must have the feeling that you've become the victim of some injustice, which is revealed by you remarking that you "haven't created any topic since [sic] weeks".
If I may ask, what specific "unjustly" locked threads are you referring to in specific?
Lastly, I can only recommend the forum's staff to not to permit discussion on such topics. It would be definitely a better and more prudent policy of yours, if you were not enabling such fundamental questioning of your judgements. Instead, you're probably better settled by restricting users to personal messages in case they'd wish to intimate their reflections on your rulings.
