I have Dell 1397 WLAN Card. It should fall under b43.

I tried VMWare image of Backtrack 4 R2, and tried to get my drivers up and running but the b43 doesn't seem to be included, so I have to download it manually using this page:

Compatability list
Again PCI ID found: 14e4:4315

So it seems to be partially compatible

Hell I still have two USB Cards!
Hercules HWGUSB2-54-V2 - RT2571WF is part of rt73 - Not in list. Hmm...
DWA-140 - ra2870 chipset - Should work according to few cards working as well using same chipset http://www.backtrack-linux.org/wiki/ind ... less_Cards

So I am going to run out of options very soon. I was still hoping my Dell Studio 1558 would work.
Maybe there are replacements for my 1397 that allow wifi cracking?

...also you don't need BackTrack for WLAN cracking.
