guys am using colgate tooth paste + vaseline as cpu cooling paste, my pc is running good so far but is it good for long time use also is there any alternative cooling paste ?

i live in a small town and we don't have any shop that sells Arctic Silver 5 or any other cpu cooling paste and ebay and other online site are charging 20-25$ for shipping

Whenever i need new paste I vist my regional Computer Store that guy always gifts me that stuff because whenever he buys a new PC he gets that stuff for free, so go try that.

I've seen various bad results for "alternatives" which includes toothpaste, so you should just get some when you can.

That's from the article itself. Basically I'd suggest no more than a week maybe.

I didn't even know you could manufacture your own thermal grease. I've always used the real thing myself. Something tells me homemade paste isn't going to have the same effectivity, but once again I've never tried that.

With the proper ingredients u could easily create your own, its usually glycerine, alumiun/silver/zink, silicone

When I first saw "homemade paste" in the title, I was thinking "sperm". However sperm is hot so I don't know if it can be used for cooling.
